Fuzzy slippers freak me out. When I was three, my mother got me some fantastic new fuzzy slippers. Later that night she took me to the hospital to get my tonsils out. In fact, I was looking at that picture last night. I looked so happy with my great new slippers. Little did I know…

You should see how fucked up I get when someone offers me an entire stick of gum. That’s always followed by something like “the cat just got run over”.

so half a stick of gum is ok?

Absolutely. I always had to share with my sister. The unprecedented whole stick was the harbinger of cat death.

OB_s your spooky-

for us it was bagels they harbored Divorce or summer school

what/how are you training, for your next cycle

I am in Limbo after max Strength-

the boys are pushing 531 I would die of boredom.

After spending too much time on FA, I had log-phobia, but am glad I got over it and checked yours out. Holy shit you’re strong.

I also checked out some of your videos on youtube and had to smile at your daughters’ lifts. I do the same thing with my 5 year old, but she uses a broom stick.

It is great to see other women out there who are teaching their daughters to be strong; both mentally and physically. It’s not very common where I live.

Keep up the good work!!

Nice sledge work, reminds me not to piss you off.

I used it again tonight.

I’m trying a bit of conditioning work a couple times a week on non-lifting days. I set 15 minutes and do super sets of tire flipping and sledging. It’s kind of my own ghetto HIIT. I may add in pull ups on the swing set.

Anyway, tonight in 15 minutes I did 50 tire flips and 60/side with the hammer. It was like this:

Tire: 16 flips (across the yard and back)
Hammer: 10/side x2
Tire: 16
Hammer: 10/sidex2
Tire: 16
Hammer: 10/sidex2
Tire: 2

Aaand then the 15 minutes were up and I was sucking super wind. I’ll do it again on Friday or Saturday and see how much volume I can add.

I watched this guy for a while and he did everything on a bosu or swiss ball. I only caught a couple on video because I think he say me taping him. He did cable back hands, flys, balancing things, push ups and a shit ton of other stuff all on the balls.

Like a bad accident, I couldn’t look away.

Today I was able to flip Fat man two times (450lb tire). Now I have bruises on my biceps that look like I’ve been grabbed.

I have a physical on Monday.Maybe she’ll refer me to family services when I tell her it’s because of Fat Man.

Re Mr. Everything: With all that on the ball, It looks to me like his balance still sucks. Ha.

Just so no one thinks I’ve stopped training. This is squatting last night in my garage. I’ve lowered the weight and upped the volume. I’m adding 5lbs a week and seeing how long I can do 8-10 reps. When I stall, I’ll drop to 5x5.

This is benching. I’ve been pulling my feet in tighter to my head to take advantage of my ankle mobility and it’s popped my arch up and tightened my back.

Damn you and your flexibility!

A suggestion I was given, but haven’t tried yet (I’m slow like that), is to pick up some PVC pipe from the hardware store and put it under your lower back. I’ve also seen Eric Talment doing something similar with a volleyball.

Don’t ask why I haven’t tried it yet, I have no excuse.

Out of curiosity, where do you touch? I couldn’t tell with the angle but the bar path looked really high. Likely just the angle though.

Oh yeah, squats were high…

Couldn’t resist, sorry. Please don’t tell Frank to put my bench shirt on backwards…

Those are impressively deep squats, and lots of 'em.

I actually had to laugh when I saw the squat video. I’m going to try squatting with bands again. Those are too deep. I need to work on getting somewhere between cutting it high and putting my ass on floor.

When I bench, I touch on my sternum just below my boobs. It does look high in the video though.

Regarding the bench video, I have 2 questions/observations from a beginner’s point of view

-maybe it’s the camera angle, but the safety bars seem to be a bit low – below the level of your throat, and as you don’t seem to have a spotter…

-watching the path of the weights, there seems to be a considerable horizontal component, increasing the effort required.

Am I off-base?

ATG FTW…

I did some atg front squat the other day after not doing them for a while
kind of fun.

See your busy with fatman, nice work.

The pins are indeed set low. This is one of the advantages of being smaller. If I can’t push it out and it doesn’t get off the pins, I can collapse my chest and it’s all good.

When raw benching, there is a certain amount of horizontal tracking. The bar doesn’t travel in a straight vertical line. The typical track is to push back a bit when about 1/2 to 2/3 up recruiting different muscles.

The atg squats kicked my ass. I’m in again tonight and am going to 160x8 for three sets. Oddly enough, the thing that hurts the most are my hands from holding the bar on my back for so long.

I like how my bench is coming along. I got my guy to look at the video since the change in foot position was at his prompting. He thinks I cut 3" off my ROM with the higher arch and said I’ve added 40lbs to my max. I haven’t but I like how he knows exactly what to say to make me happy. Other women like to hear how they look good in jeans. I like to hear “sick arch baby”. hahaha.

Bitchin’ sick arch.
