145x2x0 for some reason, I just couldn’t do it today. Either I was week or the shirt wasn’t doing what the shirt is supposed to do.
I went early and am glad I did. It seemed like everyone was out. It was nice seeing people again and touching base. Sensgirl was there and will be competing in Ottawa as well. She’s going to kick ass.
Last night I made the decision to not compete at Worlds this year. The decision was precipitated by a leak in my garage ceiling. I’ve been bleeding cash for the last couple of months with one thing and another. It was a difficult decision to make but I just don’t have the money for it any more. I will do the Ontario Provincial championships in early October instead. I realise it isn’t quite the same but tough decisions need to be made

Bummer I was looking forward to seeing you there!
I was really looking forward to it as well. I almost feel like I’m copping out; like I could make it happen if I really tried hard. However, I can’t go into debt to do it.
Wow ouro that’s too bad about the World’s but I’m glad you’ll be coming to provinicials now. I hope most people choose to do October. It should be a really good competition. Ontario’s really getting a lot of strong women.

It does suck about worlds but that’s one of the drawbacks of being an adult; making mature decisions
We are really getting a lot of strong women and it’ll be a great meet. I’m pretty stoked for next Saturday.
How did you end up making out? Were you feeling a bit stronger?

Damn that whole being responsible thing eh?
It actually went well. I hit my openers so I feel a lot better. I’m excited for the meet. Have you seen Odette yet?

I’ve never seen Odette but I’ve heard she’s very strong. I’m also looking forward to watching Shany Gilbert lift. She’s a CPO lifter out of Montreal I believe. I’ve watched her on Youtube and she’s strong as hell. It’ll be interesting to see how she fares at a CPU meet.
Odette is like a human ant, she can lift like hell and is sooo tiny. She was at the provincials last year and man she can pull for a little thing. I’ve seen Shaney lift and yes she is strong as hell too. If anything, her issue will be squats because the CPO style of squatting is totally different from the CPU. She is used to working the monolift and a super wide stance with no walk out, but again at 18 years old she is a powerhouse!
Gonna be some great lifting next weekend!
I had a final visit with my A.R.T. this morning. Everything seems good except I’m still having a few issues with the muscles on my ribs on the right side at the rear. This was the back problem I’d been having for a while that was very painful.
My prescription is to sing along with the radio 2-3 times per day a song beginning to end. Apparently the breathing involved in doing that for someone that isn’t accustomed to singing works that muscle group. I haven’t done it yet. I don’t know any songs beginning to end. I may have to break out my old Bat OUt of Hell Album. I think I know all the lyrics to ‘Paradise by the Dashboard Light’. But really, who doesn;t.

Just put the album in, try to sing 3 songs but if you only get 2, that ain’t bad.

I see what you did there.
Here’s what I’ll do. I’ll put my ipod on and sing along and video that specialness
Just a bit of light stuff tonight to grease the groove for Saturday.
Today was my third day of 8 litres of water a day. Tomorrow is 4 litres and I’m stopping mid day. I’ve been tracking the effects of water on my body for the past month and a half, drinking 4 litres a day during the week and cutting off on the weekend (still drinking but not heavily) It is usually Sunday morning I’m at my lightest which is why I’m stopping tomorrow.
Every time I do this I forget how terrible it makes me feel. I’m freezing cold, fucking hungry and by the end of the day I’m tired as hell. In addition to that, it makes me feel a bit dizzy and stoned. I’m glad the heavy part is done.

So were those squats in full gear with wrapped knees?
I’m looking forward to hearing how it goes. You’re competing at 56kgs, right?
Yes, as a matter of fact, those were in full gear including my daughter’s purple bike helmet. You can’t be too careful pre-meet you know.
I’ll be competing at 56kg. This morning I was 55.8. I just have to hold onto that now and not eat anything salty.
This is the point at which food fantasies overtake sex fantasies. Yesterday I had a hard time focusing on work because my mind kept wandering to a certain high sodium, msg filled Chinese food place around the block.
JoeGood wrote:
It is highly dissappointing that your food and sex fantasies are not blending together.
It is day 4 of PSMF and I keep having highly inappropriate thoughts about women and BBQ sauce.
What is PSMF?
I don’t have food/sex combo fantasies. I spend too much time cleaning up food after my piggy kids. Having to clean it off my body just sounds like extra work to me.
