I have a crush as well.
But seriously that 2.7x bodyweight squat is really outstanding. In fact it might be the single most impressive thing I’ve read on T-Nation. I’ll never hit that multiple but I’ll die trying.

I haven’t squatted it yet. I’m close. The most I’ve done is 2.5 and expect to do 2.6 in Ottawa. I’ve since been told to wrap my knees and walk out heavier weight.
2.7, 2.6, 2.5 All of it is fucking impressive as hell.

If you want to hear cool, Ms. PMPM recently did walk outs with 4 plates. I bet she squats that shit soon.

You are quite right. Girl crushes, boy crushes… now all I need is orange crush. It’s very, very nice.
You have made leaps of progress OB_s,
this has been a really good cycle for you, do you think its the volume/reps from Maximum strength?
or are you starting to hit your stride- either way, great work.

It’s the juice man ![]()
I think it was a combination of changes in form and a shit load of volume. I spent a long time training with a club just learning power lifting which was great and got me on my way. However, the training was very structured and there was only one way to do it. Any time I suggested trying higher volume, I was actively discouraged. I ended up leaving in January and have since had the freedom to pursue different things to see what works best for me. I think it’s been a good start.
Four plates is absolutely impressive but it doens’t mean your lifts aren’t.
Both of you should be damn proud of what you have achieved.
Glad you had a good time! We all enjoyed you coming up, and your benching has gotten hugely better in the short time since you were last up.
Now all you need is a tight shirt. ![]()
And I can’t take credit for the Home Depot tool belt idea: I got it from Ross at Montreal Barbell.

And a hat.
Women in beanies are hot. Plus, they add poundage to your lifts.
Good lifting over here ![]()

Happy Canada Day!!
Warm up mobility
Squats
45x2x10
95x1x5
135x2x5
155x3
175x7x3 - Man these felt really heavy today. They weren’t speedy at all and I was sucking wind on every rep.
Bench
45x10
65x5
95x5x5
CG Bench
85x8, 7, 6 - These were tough as crap this morning too.
Power Cleans - I haven’t done these since before nationals and they were fun to get back to again
95x2x3
100x3
105x3
110x2
115x1
125x1 - PR for me. This is the first time I’ve cleaned more than my bodyweight. Previous max was 120.
Pull ups
10, 7, 5, 5, 4
Between sets I watered my front lawn with weed killer and I vacuumed the cobwebs out of my garage gym. While I was setting up for bench, I saw a huge one on the ceiling so I dragged the vacuum in and went at it.
training at home… nice work
I particularly like the power cleans and lawn watering.
edit I just saw the video
nice work- they are fun I miss them too.
the bulk looked fine- particularly for not doing them in months.
I also thought your legs looked awesome!!!
nice work
