Sweet Pollyanna in LaLa land

CONGRATS on the 305!! Nice pull.

Yup… there is a nasty bug goin’ around. Couple of people have it at work, as does my father in law. I am trying to evade it, but it is difficult when you are dealing with the scum of society everyday. I, like you… am stuffing my face and taking every multi-vitamin/ mineral known to man, getting lots of sleep in hopes of being spared. Can’t afford time off right now, that is for sure.

Hope you are feeling better muffin!

Aren’t they casting for the new Conan movie? Can we send them your video?

Oh let’s face it, the 315 doesn’t stand a chance of holding her back. It didn’t listen last time and now she’ll teach it a lesson just like she did with the squats!

You’re a by-ear, or I will be very surprised. You’re chill, but underneath you like quality and perfection. (this is so funny…)

Holy crap! OB_s!!!

Awesome PR’s. great progress, and great work

Mobility warm up

Squat
45x2x10
95x1x5
135x2x5
165x1x3
195x1x1 - belt
225x1x3 - suit on straps down
245x2x3 - suit on straps up, knee wraps
265x2x3 - "
225x1x3 - finish set suit on straps down

I have a video of all this. I forgot my wrist wraps so by the third rep at 245 & 265 the bar had rolled a ways down my back and was a real fucker to walk in. On the first set of 265 you can see a guy standing there watching looking like he’s going to jump in and save me if I needed it. I didn’t notice till I saw the video. Good thing he didn’t. A about killed him when he was hanging from the rack as I wrapped my knees.

I’m trying to decide on my opener and may make it 265. For the record, 266 is the current national record for 56kg M1. I need to work on speed. My ass was in the hole on a couple for so long, someone could have fed me lunch. A few were high. On the finish set at 225, the first rep is super high. I’d been squatting with wraps and doing a set after without totally threw me. I was trying to sit back into the non-existent wraps and pulled myself up short.

Squat - because I’m addicted
2x10x155

I almost forgot. Bodyweight this a.m. was 55.9 (123lbs) I guess I lost after feeling like shitola yesterday. In addition, it seems the best cure for an earache that feels like a weasel trying to get out of your head is… squats. I feel pretty good right now. We’ll see what I’m like tomorrow.

Nice squatting, your 265’s were the best and depth wasn’t an issue for them I don’t think!

Don’t forget to give the meet director the head’s up to make sure the right judges are in the chair.

Oh, and I like the the idea of opening 1 pound under the record. I don’t know why, but I do!

Nice work there powder girl!

Great work, OB_s 265 looked great, you are going to burn that record

Your squats look a world apart from just a month or so ago(in a good way!)

Hey, RL. I already emailed Mike Knott. Apparently he’s the go to guy as far as records/judging goes. They are already in place since I’m not the only one gunning for records.

Here’s a bit more arithmetic for you. The 265 triple is 10lbs more than my final attempt at the Niagara meet in January. If I get the 315 final attempt at this meet, it’ll be 100lbs more than my final attempt at Provincials in December. How fucked up would that be?

I thought about going for the record on my opener but somehow it’s sounds like hubris unless I opened at 275 or something. To open at the record doesn’t sit right with me.

The 265’s looked very strong. The increase in your expected max - 100 pounds in 7 months - is just crazy. That’s a 46% increase!!

It’s funny I just did that math; the 46% increase. It’d be cool if it were all strength but is a combination of strength, better gear and much better technique.

The 265 triples felt strong. If I had my wrist wraps I felt like I could have tripled 275 or 285. It’s crazy how much difference it can make changing form. Plus, you know, selling your soul to the devil

I have to admit that I watch your videos more then once to watch the people staring at you. Don’t they know you are filming and how funny they look in the background?!?! LOL.

I do the same thing. A lot of them just bug the fuck out of me. This is particularly true of the guy in the red shirt that looked like he was going to jump in and rescue me. Does no one realise a squat rack has pins to dump the bar. I think if some strange guy jumped in to save me when I was squatting, my immediate reaction would be to eviscerate him. I just know how amped up I am when I’m squatting and a rescue would be startling and unnerving. Plus that jojo was stretching in the rack while I was wrapping.

On the bright side, every time I went to the fountain between sets, there was a total little cutie watching. I wish I got him on tape.

God damn that 265 for a triple is really freaking impressive…

I think the guy in the red shirt was thinking about killing you because you are stonger than he is.

He may have been thinking that but when I jumped on him like some fucked up Viking Valkyrie and tore his face off with my teeth, he dropped the idea.

Smiley Face
