Hey, I just had a couple of questions before I bought Surge for the 1st time (it seems many of you love it).
Is Surge the best supplement of this kind?
What is the best way to take it? I have seen some people say they take 1 serving right after lifting instead of the 2 recommended, which I would prefer because it would last me longer (but I wouldn’t want to do it if it hindered results).
Lastly, which flavor? I was thinking original or rasberry.
Any other info you feel like adding is appreciated =)
1/2 Scoop, Pre Workout
1/2 Scoop + Creatine, Post Workout
30 Minutes later a banana and a huge protein shake.
So far of the flavors I have tried:
Wild Raspberry - Very very sweet, palatable but don’t overly care for it.
Rootbeer Float - It’s decent, I like it better then Raspberry mostly cause it is not as sweet.
thanks for the help… i am thinking about getting another one of the cheaper products as well because of the shipping charge so i may want to make the most of it… is TRIBEX Tribulus a good idea or no? I have never taken anything involving testosterone before

It just depends on your needs and you’re the only one that can answer that.
TRIBEX is a good product that I use, but you could have a greater need for something else.
chocolate and raspberry are by far my favorites (raspberry is almost like swedish fish or the big red foot candy) 9/10. both mix and taste great with water. original is an interesting flavor,kinda like angel food cake and vanilla is very similar to original but not as sweet, both of these would be a 7/10 on the taste scale.
rasberry is great. vanilla i didnt like. im mixxing one scoop or vanilla and one scoop of raspberry to get rid of the vanilla. im thinking of either trying chocolate or rootbeer next.
I love raspberry. That’s all I’ve tried, and I’ve been using it for a long time now. I don’t see a reason to try another one if I like this one as much as I do.
Surge is just sugar and protein. The TN Koolaid runs strong here. Mixing dextrose with a high quality low carb protein gives you more flexibility in supplementation. There are many cats out there with insane physiques who have never ingested one ounce of Surge. Don’t drink too much Kookaid peeps.

More specifically, it’s dextrose, maltodextrin, whey protein hydrolyslate, and BCAAs – your oversimplification not withstanding.
You can make your own, but it doesn’t save any more IMO and it tastes like ass when you do.
No one ever said that you have to use Surge to build a great body, it’s just that it’s a well designed product that makes a lot of sense.
You’re right that you shouldn’t drink too much, though. One to two servings per workout is ample.
I do like T-Nation Koolaid, though. They could put this below Surge on the label. “T-Nation’s Koolaid”
Besides some obvious copyright issues, that would be quite entertaining if I had a bottle that said “T-Nation Koolaid”. But I digress.
As HK said, you could definitely make your own PWO drink, but it probably would not taste anywhere as good as Surge. Surge is easy to drink, and actually makes some people want to work out so that they could have their Surge for the day. I also think Surge makes PWO drinking easier. All you do is mix with water and shake. Doesn’t get easier than that.
