A question on Surge recovery and martial arts training. I will soon be spending 10 days training in martial arts up to three times a day and am looking for ways to maximise recovery.
Some days will comprise 2 two-hour training sessions and some will comprise 3 two-hour training sessions. The intensity of the sessions will vary. I know from experience that thing that tires you out the most is picking yourself up off the floor 200 times a day for 10 days.
I always use Surge post-workout and my normal training comprises 5 sessions a week, which are either martial arts training, aerobic training and strength/endurance training through bodyweight exercises and sometimes of a mix of them.
I would like to get some idea about how to maximise recovery when doing so many sessions in one day and how the best way to use Surge under these circumstances would be.
