Surcompensation

CT what exactly is surcompensation? i have been following your HSS-100 Shoulder program for three weeks now and i have been making some great strength gains but i am wondering if its really possible to make the majority of gains 1-2 weeks after the program?

Supercompensation stands for the growth that occurs due to resistance training. Making “strength gains” is pretty ambiguous because most beginners can perceive simply learning how to do the movement better as “a strength gain” since they can use more weight than they could when they first walked in the gym. Unless they are also growing muscle with it, they don’t have the full picture.

Yes.

The ‘adaptation’ in this graph can be considered supercompensation. Thus getting stronger refers to recovering to a baseline that is higher than your previous level.

thanks guys!!
