I have just read the Charles Poliquin “German Body Comp” book. The whole design is based on the fact that when the training increases the lactate in the body, the blood ph rises and causes growth hormone to be released, which then burns the fat.
Now, thats got me thinking about supplements that may interfere with the lactate buildup or even the PH of the blood.
Am I correct in thinking that the Beta Alanine supplement my reduce the effect of the German Body Comp program?
Also, I use regularly “Green” Drinks, which also reduce the PH of the blood. Would this effect the GH release?
Are there any supps that would effect it?
Any info would be great. Am I missing something here? I really want to start the program soon.
