I really whant the most bang for my buck wether im sleeping ten hours or five. Im interested in anything thatl help me sleep BETTER! I know all potent sups should be cycled befor my body finds equilibrium, but i wana know whats worth trying!
ZMA. Then it’s always important to ask yourself why your sleep is what it is? Most of us knows what needs to be done, but fail in implementing change. How about leaving your phone/screen an hour before sleep?
- Passion flower (yes, it’s well researched)
- L-theanine
- Magnesium
ElitePro Minerals.
A simple start for better sleep is ZMA, I have taken it for years. But I have always found good sleep to come easy for me.
A good plan is to try clearing your mind of impending problems. You sure won’t solve them staring at the ceiling. I’ve been using a little strategy before getting in bed of playing Sudoku for about 30 minutes after taking ZMA and Flameout. The simple concentration required to solve Sudoku puzzles (paperback book) help clear my mind.
I saw your other post. Alcohol disturb my sleep like you could not imagine and I can clearly see it with my fitness tracker. I don’t drink much or even often but when I have just a few drinks I can see it impact my sleep quality big time. So refrain from drinking and you may not need the supplements. Yes alcohol will make you fall asleep but it is a known fact that sleep quality is greatly affected.
If sleep quality is still a problem even when not drinking for several days/weeks then ZMA or ElitePro Minerals will help. When I add vitamin C on top of that (I think it is the vitamin C and magnesium combination), I have the most vivid dreams!
I had sexy drims the first time i took a magnesium and the first time i took a zink pill.
Any one tried a big dose of.GABA before bed? I was doing a table spoon before bed for a moent in college. Seems to have a lingering effect at calm my nerves at times, although i could have been too chill at some moments where i should ha e been more tempermental
To anyone who is interested, the comment above is new. I completely deleted a comment i wrote when i was confused
Yeah the megadose of GABA was an thing i tried in college. Little experiments can go a little better when your young. I wpulnd take that much now, at a few months from 40.
Phenibut, when used judiciously, benefitted my sleep significantly. However, currently it is very difficult to obtain and seems to be pretty much only available as a “research chemical” if one was inclined to go that route.
I used Z12 for about 12-13 years when Biotest sold it. As a lifelong insomniac, it was the only sleep aid that truly worked for me. As you said, it’s a little difficult to find these days but Burman’s Health Shop sells phenibut online and calls it Phlow State Nootropic. It’s more expensive than Z12 was, though. Two to three capsules are about the equivalent to the Z12 recommended dosage.
ZMA, Valerian Root, GABA, Ashwaganda .
Valerian Root does work on the Gaba Receptor, albeit very mild. GABA itself doesn’t have psychoactive affects since it doesn’t cross the BBB but the body still has receptors elsewhere which is what most people forget about. It’ll help with any physical side effects like tension etc. Kava is also excellent.
All of this is also purely anecdotal. I try not to take anything for sleep but these all work much better for me and make me feel less like shit than popping a benadryl or melatonin.
I saw phenibut mentioned, I would highly recommend NOT going that route, my opinion. Very nasty stuff if you get hooked on it
CPAP machine made a huge difference in my quality of sleep
Ashwagandha works but it’s really subtail and probably not worth spending a ton, Chamomile tea never fails
Yeah, Chamomile is a goat!
Yeah, people say I snore a little too loud! Im putting off the CPAP machine because I figure suffocating 8 hours a night is giving me a high red bllod cell count dor when I whip myself back down to my college weight lol.
