I’m looking for recommendations on some good supplements to really help jump start muscle growth. I’m going to start one of Chad Waterbury’s programs and I’m new to the supplement world. I’ve been lifting weights consistently for about 2 years now and I’ve never used anything besides a basic protein powder. I’ve seen decent results but I’m looking for something a little more. Just a set of basic supps for a hypertrophy program.
I’ve got the diet part down, I’m just looking for that extra boost. I’m willing to spend some money but I am a college kid and have a pretty limited budget so nothing too crazy. I’ve looked at the Biotest supplements on this site and they seem somewhat reasonable compared to GNC and some others. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thats a pretty broad question but i would say the best place to start would be your workout nutrition. I really do fee like if you nail this part of your day down you will grow and make some great progress.
As for what to take? This really depends on your budget, i would say that over anything adding Anaconda would be the first thing, then if you can afford more than that, MAG-10 would be the 2nd thing i’d buy. Simply follow label directions for Anaconda, and the same goes with MAG-10.
But, i would say taking Anaconda during your training session would be a serious upgrade to whatever your currently doing.

I have looked into creatine but never actually made the move to buy it. Any recommendations on what brand is the best for the money or which one you use?

Buy creatine MONOHYDRATE. They are all the same, it doesn’t matter which brand, go for the cheapest. I live in UK so I don’t know which is cheapest for you, I buy mine from myprotein fwiw. The recommendation is 3-5g/day (to correct my earlier post).

Height, weight and approximate body fat %? Or a current picture…
Why? Not relevant at all…
My suggestion on supplements:
Multi
Omega 3
Whey
Creatine
In one of his articles CT recommends 100mg per percentage of bf if trying to cut (or a dose to that kind of affect). Thus could consider bf relevant. Plus on a totally different note a ~250lb guy who is 6ft 2 needs generically more of everything than a 5’2" guy weighing in at ~160lb including sups if he were going to give approx doses
