Supplementation Q for Endurance Athletes

Christian–

I’ve had a question I’ve been mulling over for some time now. I realize you work with mostly strength and power athletes and physique athletes, which is my alley, but I’m sure you have to be training at least a few Anaerobic endurance athletes (like MMA fighters) and endurance athletes (competitive long distance track).

My question concerns both those groups–How would you structure supplementation for these athletes during an endurance workout as opposed to a strength workout? I am thinking of say a long serious session of rolling or fight endurance work, or say a mile runner doing a track workout.

It seems to me in this case Workout Fuel would be a primary component of the peri-workout supplement plan, but what would you recommend in general?

Also, do you think the precisely same supplement strategy would apply for a mile runner doing a weightroom workout as for a bb’er / strength and power athlete doing the weight workout? My intuition would seem to say no, due to a different goal and structure of the workout, although there should be similarities between the two athlete’s supplementation.

I would really like your thoughts on this. I ran into a track runner who went badly hypoglycemic while I was training myself about a week ago, and it got me thinking about how to fuel them.
