Do you have a preferred set of supplements you employ with yourself or with your clients when you/they have suffered an injury?
I recently pulled my hamstring, and was prescribed the L-protocol (exercises) for rehabilitation RCSI Dublin – Homepage - Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland
Ensuring that the basic materials for rebuilding are there:
- high protein,
- gelatin,
- elevated caloric intake.
Anti-inflammatory dietary inclusions:
- turmeric (with added pepper),
- ginger,
- garlic,
- Omega-3s/fatty fish,
- plenty of vegetables.
Also taking hot baths with Epsom salts when I can get a hold of them.
Looking for an added nutritional edge. Glutamine? Would triggering mTor with 5g of leucine at each meal be appropriate?
