Supplement Help

Right, I’m new to the site and have been browsing through past articles, etc via the search engine. T-Mag is easily the most informed body building read I’ve seen and that goes for the guys that contribute on this forum as well.

Anyway, I’m about to order a batch of supplements and would appreciate some advice.

I usually buy my protein powder, glutamine and creatine from EAS or Pro-Lab. Having scanned through some old letters I’m a little concerned about getting ripped off, can I trust the quality of these guy’s products?

I’ve been using Twinlab ZMA and Tribulas for a while now and have not noticed any benefit. How do these products compare to those produced by BioTest? I’ve been reading excellent feedback for their ZMA and Tribex.

Thanks in advance for the help and keep up the good work.

TwinLab ZMA is the same exact patent formula that Biotest uses - it’s good. Remember: A) ZMA does not work miracles (it won’t make you 2 1/2 times the man you are) B) ZMA is more effective for VERY hard training athletes/body builders as they usually have a major Zinc/Mag deficiency C) The effects take a while - about 1-2 months - the most noticable effects that it is helping natural T at night are deeper sleep (which always helps), no cramps, and additional T maintenance sleep boners. As far as Tribulus, I, to be honest, have not heard of any brand besides Biotest that has any positive reviews. Apparently it’s pretty hard to get Trib to work and Biotest seems to have figured it out.

A good place for quality supplements at cheap prices e.g. glutamine is BAC (beyond-a century). I forget exactly where the hyphen in their name is but a little web searching should find the site for you.

use the biotest. all zma are from the same lab, and biotest is a better deal. also they are nice enough to support this forum. I would also recomend ast research vp2 protein. creatine, glutamine, flaxseed, and md6 (if you are trying to cut up) are all great.

My rule of thumb is: if a supp is put out by both Biotest and someone else, always buy the Biotest version. (No, I don’t have any stock in the company…)
