Superfood vs. Greens+

Someone posted that Greens+ made them want to puke. The three times I have tried it it actually made me puke. I tried it in water, vomit. I tried it in a super shake with Grow! (what is now MD) with bananas, berries, walnuts and it still made me vomit. For my third attempt I tried it with grape juice, at someone’s suggestion, and it still made me vomit.

Superfood, no vomit. I can drink it with just water. I only use one scoop a day as a supplement to my diet.

Does anybody know the sugar content of a serving of Superfood?

Essentially zero.

Well then, I think I might test this out since I am almost out of my wheat grass supplement.

Thanks Bill, I really appreciate everything you do for this community.

Glad to help, certainly!

For those of you that use Superfood, how do you store it? Does it need to be refrigerated before/after opening? I’m posting here because the Superfood discussion is full.

I just got mine in the mail and want to make sure that I don’t ruin it, and I want to make sure I maximize its superness.

I keep it on the counter. I’ve heard in the fridge it tends to clump up

Sounds good to me, I just didn’t know of it had to be refrigerated. It’s going in the cabinet unless there are any objections.

Its freeze dried veggies/berries, so temperature shouldn’t be an issue. Just to make sure we’re on the same page, freeze-dried means the ingredients were flash-frozen, leaving their water contents as ice. They are then slow-thawed in a vacuum, to draw out all the moisture. What you’re left with is ingredients with all the original substance minus the water, which you then add later. The only requirements you have for storage WC7 are keep it away from humidity and tightly packed, I would assume.

I LOVE Superfood, and this thread may cause me to load up lol. Id drink it all day long, alternating sips with Anaconda (to get the pee-h balance right lol.)

Another one I liked was Udos Beyond Greens. It was kinda earthy, not fruity, but I liked it and would shoot it back with water. I got the new agey “I have taken a health elixir” feeling from it. However, never did much research. Im a kid who grew up craving broccoli an green beans though. To other people I could see how it might feel like a mouthful of weird dirt.

But Superfood is sooooo good, and I dont understand the haters at all. The people who think it is a mildly gross tea can PM me for my address to send the rest of their mildly gross tea.

And you just store it at room temperature? I assume mixing it with hot water (green tea) wouldn’t ruin it or anything, correct?

It will last on the counter for months. I have never put mine in the frig.

I like the taste and would buy more if the price was lower. I think it has a noticeable result too.

I try to buy fresh fruit/vegtables but between having to got the grocery store every 4 days or having some rot then go is not always appealling.

Unless you drink your tea excessively hot (do your tea leaves float? if so, might be too hot - you’re scorching the leaves) I don’t see how it would be an issue. Breakdown due to heat would be minimal if any. Biotest describes Superfood as tasting (by itself) as “mild berry tea”

I keep it in the freezer and mix with room temp to cold water. shaken , not stirred.

Your crazy man. I like you, but your crazy.

I love Superfood, I too would buy it more if I could afford it. It tastes awesome mixed with a bit of applesauce.
