@supercardrives you should have a look at my log. Finally got a 225 bench and 135lb strict standing press this year after years of struggle. Now on a similar track to a 315 squat.
3 weeks, even 6 weeks, is an inconsequential drop in the bucket.
As someone said above, its typical the first 4 or 5 weeks of a 6-week cycle to be doing weights and reps you already know you can get. Like building a tower:
-climb to the top
-lay down one more brick
-climb down and get another brick
-climb to the top
-lay down the new brick
And so on. And the higher the tower gets, the more effort is required to bring that next brick up.
That’s a great analogy!!
Check out Walmarts “market side butcher” grass fed stuff. They have the prices up online. I bought a 2.5lb chuck roast for $15. Affordable and pretty decent quality meat when the piedmontese runs out.
This here in LA County? ![]()
Are you refusing to believe that someone can eat some steaks on a $350/month budget based off of LA County?
… no…

Haha, no worries bud - I grew up on Long Island (NY), so my friends back home still have a hard time believing that I bought a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom, 2 floor house with a little fenced in backyard on the west end of Richmond, VA in a great school system and next to every store you could ask for, for $129,000, 5 years ago.
I can believe it, but it still forces me to question my own geography choices!
I have a house out in NC that we got, fairly similar pricing for time time too lol. I came out to CA for work but desperately trying to leave.
For any Brits reading this log, look away now.
Surrender your house flap.
Careful… he’s a Marine
I eat marines for breakfast
Ha! It’s funny - most days I don’t buy into the “once a Marine, always a Marine” thing, especially since I’m usually a pretty docile person and I don’t shave, but every once in a while someone sets me off and I’m reminded that some of the brainwashing is probably always gonna be there. That and the glock loaded with hollow points that’s usually around me. I come from a VERY liberal family, so that last one is a touchy subject sometimes, haha.
I like Richmond. Lived in Norfolk for a few years and much preferred Richmond when I visited a couple times.
Thanks man, needed to hear that. Still going strong on this, not giving up, thats for sure!
As an aside, what sort of “healthy” cheap foods do you guys eat?
I’m in a very high cost city and even air costs mean here (joke)
You’ll need to decide that you’re going to cook. Until then, too many options are closed to you.
