Lumpy Lumpy Dumply, you just made it ugly. The Bush-hating sheep crowd has spoken. If you read what you just wrote again, think about Bill Clinton whom you probably voted for, then think again. Executing retartds: Clinton left the campaign trail in 1992 to fly to Arkansas to sign the death warrant of a retarted man. I could go on and on where you’re wrong, but let me give you some advice: proliferating the Bush-hater speech will ensure him of another 4 years, and I thank you for that.
While he’s no true conservative, he is the best we have and when the smoke clears, the Al Frankens shirks subside, he will go down as one of the really good ones. Mark my words, I know.
What is it with liberals and class warfare? As if being wealthy, or having wealthy friends is a bad thing. Haha, you nut.
Fact is Bush cheated no one to arrive at the position he currently holds. When you graduate from Harvard and Yale owned a baseball team, got elected Governor of the largest state. And then topped it off by getting elected President, someone is always trying to bash you. Haha, jealous man, jealous.
President Bush is a man born into wealth and privilidge, no question about it. I have one thing to say about that: Lucky!
GW will never be known as one of the best we had. The best he can hope for, is to be remembered as the incompetent guy at the top who surrounded himself with some competent people.
Yes that would be the liberal take on the issue! Did you notice that just about every republican President (and some vice presidents) have been attacked by the main stream press, as being “inept” or “slow thinkers.”
I sometimes wonder how such dumb people as Ronald Reagen got to be a movie star, elected as President of the screen actors guild (by his peers). Governor of california, and then two terms as President of the United States. Wow, what a dummy!
The same can be said about G. W. Bush. And I did on my previous post. The fact is the liberal media paints all those who do not march in lock step behind their liberal agenda as idiots.
Hey Rich I have an idea which may give you a bit more empathy for President Bush. Go to Harvard and Yale, get an undergrad degree from one, and a Business degree from the other. Then, come back to this forum and let all of us call you stupid!
ZEB,
I think someone woke up a little grumpy, today.
Anyway, those degrees don’t make him a great president or a terrible one. I would also say that 15-20% of the voting public do not know much about the background of the particular candidate, which they vote for. For that percentile, it’s more of a popularity contest, with the rest of us feeling the effects of it (whether good or bad). All the media does is play to those who make their decision based on this.
I rag GW because it’s fun for me. I’m proud to have a president who uses English as his second language. I just can’t understand his first.
Just like a liberal, you have to get another dig in! You throw one my way and “it’s all in good spirit.” I throw one your way, “lighten up, I think someone woke up grumpy today.” I’m in a great mood, as I am most days.
If you are claiming that only 20% of the general public is swayed by the media, I would have to disagree with you. People shape their opinions from what the see, read, hear etc. The media plays a big part in that.
That, however is not the point. The point is that you and your fellow liberals like to point out, incorrectly that Bush is a stupid man! And when you look at his accomplishments, I think they speak to the fact that he is a well rounded success. And unlike Bill Clinton, George Bush is also a success in his marriage. Know any Clinton jokes?
I wasn’t kidding. And I didn’t say one of the best. Read my post again…I said one of the really good ones.
Your post about the public not knowing much about the background of the candidate they for for has some truth. But if you want the real truth about how it really works, come down here to DC and I’ll show you what’s really going on here and why GW is the best we have for now.
You don’t know me and don’t know what I do or why I’m in Washington. But when I say trust me, I mean it. I’m a guy from Main Street, who can see right though this K Street scene. If you want what’s best for you and America, stop sending your money to DC, for your children’s sake.
ZEB,
My numbers on the voting were (dare I say) conservative. Oddly enough, I’m not a liberal. I just don’t agree with where GW is leading this country.
I am always in a great mood, as well. I throw jabs in jest. Besides, I’d rather talk training than politics. (your piece on pull-ups is hanging on my wall and the smith machine does help - it’s working for me).
Jeff,
you’re right. My bad. But you’re starting to freak me out with all that other stuff.
Zeb,
I got your last post kinda late. Your Pull-up piece is like a guideline for me. I’ve been bulking and my muscle strength isn’t keeping up with my weight gain. I was barely getting 2 pull-ups until I started the smith machine technique. And, your thread about the log that gave you trouble, that was interesting. I can see where that would bug the crap out of you.
Well, I better quit hijacking this thread.
Sorry Brian
