Agreed.
Hate the Sin but not the Sinner.
Suicide affects everyone involved with the person who took their life. It is a horrible thing to happen in any family, not only is it something that can be prevented but it is final. Once you do it, that’s it. All that is left is questions, “Why did it happen?”“Why didn’t someone notice?” “Why didn’t they talk about what was making them suicidal”.
People who commit suicide made a bad choice. They are not gay, pussies, selfish or cowards. I had an Unlce who killed himself and he was awarded 2 Naval Crosses, they don’t give those to cowards. He couldn’t get over the war and it got to him.
It is terrible and the people on here should not be mocking or insensitive to others pain. It’s not a game or a movie. It’s a horrible tragedy and if it had been handled differently, we wouldn’t be talking about it today and some young person would still be alive.

19 is a kid. If that offends someone on here and they want to spout off about how they’re 19 and would never…BLAH BLAH BLAH

Kids say stupid shit too, see above.
so your 19 as well
I’m 28, you have no reason to have an issue with me. This is ridiculous.
It’s a shame what’s happening to our young men these days. To feel so lost and distraught that something like this is a final solution for them. I could go into an at length post about the de-testosteroning of today’s young men, but given the nature of this website and what it entails, far better writers have expressed far better thoughts on the subject.
I will agree that the boy (because that’s what he was) was weak, and that there is a legitimate argument towards natural selection. My problem with it all though is the fact that allowed him to get weak. To believe he was weak, that’s where we have failed as a society. For whatever reason we’re trying to remove this testicular fortitude that our fathers, and their fathers had, and things like this is the direct result of it.
Not to be a huge TC mark but damn, a lot of his stuff should almost be required reading for a boys freshman health class.
The BB.com community wasn’t always this way. It used to be better, but they’ve summarily chased out their better people by allowing the filth to take hold. For the time that I’ve lurked here though, I can say that the same degeneration is happening here, just not as fast as it happened at bb.com.
Oh and in in interest of full disclosure, I’m 35 and a parent of 2 (9, and 4)
If anyone wants to read what bb.com want to hide away in their shit infested cupboard go to :

Well good choice of pills at least. He obviously had a drug habit. Just another coping mechanism.
I’ve known for a long time just what an amazing, awesome piece of technology the web is and I love it, but I’ve also seen some of the worst of human behavior in the last 10 years or so…
So, this kid OD’d on pills right in front of his webcam, and these assholes urged him on and/or flamed him about being an attention whore. He died on his bed right in front of these fucks, and they just made more fun of him.
This is truly sick, stomach-turning behavior. And then I see that after the fact someone posted another thread saying they’d sent a link about the suicide to the media (Fox 5 I believe) and these morons posted in THAT thread jokes and shit like “We’re on TV!” and “Hi Mom!”.
I fear for the future if these are the kind of kids we’re raising.

Absolute ignorant horses asses. Our kids today have ZERO respect for the things that used to really matter…real values
I have to believe for my own sanity that these people don’t really grasp the depth of their actions.
As much as i’d like to spew about the pure fucking ignorance people are displaying on this thread, i’m not since doing so would be a waste time. Ignorance isn’t changed overnight. I sincerely hope it doesn’t happen to someone close to anyone.
I feel for the kid, since he had NO control over what he thought. It’s just not rational to take it to that extreme. I’ve dealt with people with depression, and it’s not something they can control. They live in their own personal hell.
I pray for his family, and anyone who was close to him. It’s a shame that his last moments were on public display for assholes to comment and make jokes about.
Tragic.

Part of his page:
Hi there, Mr. Biggs speaking. I’m a good hearted guy, I care a lot about my friends and my family and I would do almost anything for them. I’m the kind of person that is there for my friends regardless of time, I tell all my friends even if it’s 3-4AM and they need someone to talk that they can always call and I’ll never turn them away.
The irony of it all. I hope that his tormented soul finally knows some peace.

That’s so sad, poor kid I wish he could’ve realized that it really does get better.
I might be a mean, cold hearted, emotionally damaged monster but even I’ve had enough low points in my life to feel a little bit of empathy and not be one of those motherfuckers screaming jump.
WTF is wrong with people?
I agree. A little empathy isn’t a lot to expect. People who are harshing on this kid for ending his life just aren’t getting that some people lose their way. I’d say there but for the grace of God go I, but it’s wasted on this forum.

I randomly clicked on page 41 of that, and I’m absolutely disgusted. I would say that I hope the entire website gets shut down, but then the assholes would just come here…
It is interesting to watch the bb forum community somewhat turn and feed off itself. Playing the blame game.
They do have a prime opportunity though, clean it up, moderate the shit out of their forums until the kiddies find some other playground to infest. I imagine nothing will change, no one will act and it will be business as usual on their forums in a week or so.
There seem to be a lot of back and forth over, he was week, it a disorder, he?s less than human, ext. ext.
I thought the goal of the Alpha Male (and Females, OG, MG, ext ) was to educate, inspire and correct through words and actions. So why he ended up in a suicidal state (he was week, it a disorder, he?s less than human, ext. ext.) becomes unimportant in this discussion and the focus should be on how to bring someone back from that point.
If someone is physically week do we assail them for their shortcomings or offer advice and critique to help them become stronger? Why should someone who is mentally week be treated any different?
Who here would tell the newbie that because they are only benching 100lbs now it is not worth their time to try and improve? Would we tell them that they are a waste of iron and gym space and should be eliminated to make room for those who count weight by plates?
Too be quite honest I HATE weakness. I abhor it and everything about it. I try to fight it whenever I see it. Weakness is the enemy, the person is the country that has been invaded and must be freed of the intruder.
I make a distinction between the two and I think it would be good for everyone else too. Because the enemy is in my neighbors house doesn?t make me better, vanquishing the enemy from my neighborhood does.
Maybe we all need to re-read this (or read it for the first time.)

I worked with a brilliant programmer a few years ago who committed suicide. I was talking to him on a Friday about his college experience - he was from Taiwan- here in the US and the 10+ years he had been working with my two bosses, both of whom regarded him as one of the most reliable, most genius people they have ever worked with.
I came in the following Monday and nobody was in the office for hours. I got a call from my boss, asking me to keep people away from the guy’s desk and that police might stop by to ask some questions. My boss said the guy went home that Friday afternoon and stuck a gun in his mouth. It was eerie; he had been giving me college advice a few hours earlier.
I told a friend about this who turned me onto this poem, now one of my favorites:
Richard Corey
by Edwin Arlington Robinson
WHENEVER Richard Cory went down town,
We people on the pavement looked at him:
He was a gentleman from sole to crown,
Clean favored, and imperially slim.
And he was always quietly arrayed, 5
And he was always human when he talked;
But still he fluttered pulses when he said,
“Good-morning,” and he glittered when he walked.
And he was rich?yes, richer than a king,
And admirably schooled in every grace: 10
In fine, we thought that he was everything
To make us wish that we were in his place.
So on we worked, and waited for the light,
And went without the meat, and cursed the bread;
And Richard Cory, one calm summer night, 15
Went home and put a bullet through his head.
You just don’t know who is on edge. If you think you are above mental illness and moments of weakness that would drive you to suicide, you are incredibly naive. We all have triggers. We are as susceptible to this weakness or illness as we are to physical illness.
And unless people start understanding this, the pursuit of professional help for mental issues will always remain so taboo that people would rather off themselves than admit to having a problem.
Society needs to evolve, fast. I don’t want to raise my kids here.
oh come the fuck on
anyone above the age of 14 or 15 including those in their 20’s feels like this every day, the question is can you push that shit to the back of your mind and occupy yourself with something else
boo hoo your wonderful world of teenage idealism fell apart, too fucking bad
