problem is this is a death investigation, the police can retrive any and all communications on that board to find out what happened.
The people that are stupidly erasing the posts will no doubt be charged with something, if nothing else Destruction of Evidence and Obstruction of Justice.

- CandyJunkie posts the amount of drugs he’s going to take
- Mods don’t take it seriously because of his past trolling
- People egg him on
- CandyJunkie posts a copied suicide note
- People keep egging him on
- He pops the pills and goes to sleep
- He breathes for a few hours, people think he’s going to be alright and keep joking and trash talking on his JTV log.
- Some time later many people realize he was not moving.
- I find his personal details through E-detectivery, I figure out his name and number and location.
- Personal details posted on Misc. I request people to call the cops because I live in India and had no way to make International calls all by myself.
- People tell me he’s a troll and nobody calls. Staberella especially is quite a huge cynic and says that he wasn’t going to die on that kind of drugs, she insists nothing is going to happen and that people should just gtfo of the thread.
- I send an email to Miami Police on their official email on their website, Email not functioning!
- I call Miami Police from my dad’s phone and speak to at least three cops and one person from the 911 line (whatever it is) for over 8 minutes about the situation, the people there do not take the case seriously and tell me to call the sheriff of his county, and give me the sheriff’s number even after I told them I was speaking from a different country and that this was an emergency.
- I post the sheriff’s number on the Misc. thread
- People tell me to quit worrying and that they’re 100% sure its a loop and he’s just fraudin’
-jjlee138 (Rep this dude) calls the Broward County Sheriff’s office and speaks to them about the situation along with a couple of other people. By the time I called, it turns out 3 people had already called them about it. - People wait for the cops to bust in on the JTV cam.
- Some people start thinking nobody called the cops, at least 5 more people call the cops, they were told the cops were on it
- 25 minutes after the first call to the cops, the cops bust in. They cover the webcam
- People speculating whether he’s dead or not
- At this point of time a lot of people start deleting/editing their posts everywhere. PM me for the original thread content.
- Friends post messages on his myspace worried about him, no response from him.
- His best friend posts a thread on the Misc. and informs the people that he’s dead.
How about these idiots now taunting the legal system.
I got up early this morning, I just couldn’t sleep, now I am waiting to head to the fire station. I was looking at the forum and ran across this thread, very sad. I have ran across a lot of suicide attempts as well as successful ones, it is nothing pretty and very sad. I was like a bunch of these TROLLS that say “they are weak, why cant they talk to someone!” But then something happen, after responding to calls of such nature my life became their life, I was depressed and sad from seeing this first hand. I was actually becoming them from their suicides, sad.
I talked to a shrink and researched the subject myself, just LIKE diseases that are out their, depression is TRUE it is a disease, it is due to the lack of serotonin or dopamine in the brain and YES sometimes we do need medication. It is so easy to bash these people unless you have experienced it yourself, I think we have all had some sort of depression but have handled it differently.
Just remember guys, YOU might handle it differently(you might think “losers, weaklings etc”) but until its yourself, son, mother, father, brother, sister someone you care for deeply you wont ever understand. I know that you have a RIGHT to express your opinion but lets try to understand and help these people that call, call, call for help. Oh by the way, you remember the Great Depression? Remember all those jumpers from that time? Have a good day.

Sort of yes. Apparently CJ had posted suicide threads and depression threads before and it wasn’t taken seriously. Basically a mod said, stop being an attention whore, or something to that effect. But I think that was about it. I didn’t see that thread and never plan to look for it. The misc section is totally out of control.
A lot of it is perpetuated by 13-20 year olds who don;t work out and just go there for the misc. They are basically allowed to run free and it is a nasty place. I post on the misc at times and quite often tell off the idiots there. Some of the members there disgust me. Others are good people. The other forums, exercises, workout programs, etc. are good, well moderated forums.
I hope they close down the misc, or at least start moderating it MUCH better.
Anyone making fun of the situation should rot in hell.

I didn’t say anything about it being about me. When you open your doors to “everyone” expect that to include idiots who will egg on someone who is threatening to kill themselves.
Some reports of this are pointing out that this has happened before on other forums. I personally think it has much to do with the fact that many of these guys in the 13-20 age range grew up with my space and you tube where every attention seeking moron can post his personal video to the world. They don’t take any of those things seriously because everything is a Jackass episode to them.
There is no way in hell I would respond like that to someone threatening to kill themselves. While I doubt those posters will actually face any charges for any of that, I truly wish there were some repercussions so it wouldn’t happen again.
This also has little to do with feeling sorry for the guy committing suicide. It has more to do with simply acting like a human being and not trivializing death until someone actually does it.

Not for nothing…it could have easily happened here too. It just happened to be BB.com this time around. I don’t think demonizing an entire website is right. We’ve had a few post that were similar to the one that boy posted and we’ve had similar reactions to it, granted no one ever flat out stated they were going to off themselves but it seems it doesn’t take much to send someone in that state over the edge.

Why would they hide evidence? what really happened over there and are they liable? do the ythink they are liable thats why they are doing the quick erase and it never happened trick.

I don’t have all the answers, I just know that people have knee jerk reactions and panic. I think this qualifies. As far as mods go, they are only human and react as humans do. The boy had created threads about suicide enough times that no one took it serious anymore, to his detriment. The real evil is anyone who has something to say after the fact and who don’t comprehend the full extant of what they were a party to.
