Suicide on Webcam

Y’all should check out that link RAGDE posted. Just read the first 4 or 5 posts on there. Absolutely appalling.

For the most part, the people on this forum have spent the day reflecting on how tragic and terrible something like this is. Commenting about how disgusting it is that a society, whether it be on an internet forum or not, could encourage something like this to happen.

I’m thankful that T-Nation members have a conscience and a general understanding of the greater good.

The people on that thread aren’t even acknowledging that the kid is dead. They’re not even recognizing the fact that members of their own community did not have the decency to extend an anonymous shred of compassion and empathy to this kid. Instead, they’re trying to use this as an opportunity to give a shout out to their boyz on fox news.

I’m embarrassed for them. It’s not difficult to act like a normal human being, yet this concept seems to escape these idiots on BB.com

Bill O’Reilly is going to have a field day with these idiots

I see the idiocy is still rampant as ever on that site, and it hasn’t even been 24 hrs. since the incident. Fuckin losers all of em.

yeah I know what you mean, normally I don’t post much on here unless i really need training advice, but this was just sickening, and tore me up inside.

"deplorable.

suicide becomes a (subjectively) viable option when the fear of death is outweighed by the pain of an individual’s existence.
mental and emotional torment are not quantifiable, therefore no one can possibly pass judgement on this final act - the absolute last resort.

if you’ve looked into the abyss, then you understand.
If you have not, your judgemental comments hold no weight.

may his soul find peace."

“Some of you have no idea what depression feels like. You have to understand that once your brain is that messed up, your decision-making capabilities won’t be rational. It is a shame his friends/family didn’t detect his anguish earlier.”

These are good posts. It is stupid to judge someone who has committed suicide. Suicide is pointless, selfish and wrong. But, if you feel like commiting suicide you can only think about ending the pain.

If you’ve been there you know, if not you don’t understand. It doesn’t make you weak or gay. However, a lot of people won’t feel sorry for you. I’m glad that T-Nation is different than bb about this.

Remember when there was a suicide thread awhile back and some guy talked about almost doing it a few days earlier? And how most people were genuinly concerned and TC even offered to talk? I talk trash and a lot of times I’m not nice on the internet and in real life, but things like this make me think a little.

I don’t know what else can be said that hasn’t been, but if you can empathize with that suicide note then remember Jim Valvano’s words: “Don’t give up, Don’t ever give up.” Simple and easy to remember when you need to.

every one of them type like they are rejects from 4chan.
explains it

think about it though, if you’re that low, and you’re aware of how the “misc” is, is the “misc” somewhere you really want to go to speak to someone? seriously, sometimes it could just be for attention.

I’ve been through extreme depression, and feel just as of recently i’m somewhat pulling out of it (i had serious facial twitching, toe twitching, neck shaking, and stomach convulsions all non stop throughout the day up until recently) due to all the depression stress. misc isn’t the place to go for help, and either way, sometimes you just have to accept things.

there was an article TC wrote a while back saying how he’d rather indulge in fine foods and do something crazy before he considered suicide. well that’s exactly right. i’ve been hella low in the dumps (lived in the same place for the past 10 years and have only made about 2 solid friends), but i’ve managed to make my own way.

CLIFFS:

misc an obviously attention seeking negative place to go for any help, the guy should have known better.

toughen up

oh my god… they made and Epic pic of the kid saying BRB Pills…

how can that forum not moderate that trash? bb.com is trash.

and they post and type like they are mentally challenged.

terrible… just terrible. I do hope it makes the news and I hope bb.com suffers for this.

I am just so sorry for his family and friends

He would be the first person I have heard about who committed suicide that had many close friends.

I have to disagree with this as well.

I’ve known two people who have committed suicide. One was the mother of one of my friends in elementary school. She was happily married, had 4 kids, on the PTA, very active in the community, and had lots of friends.

My mother was a friend of hers and she was very well liked. Her suicide was a shock especially to her children who still have no idea why she did it.

The other was my best friends younger cousin. He was a high school track star and he’d just gotten a scholarship. He was good looking, funny, well liked, and sought after by pretty much every girl in school. Then one day he went home, had a sandwich and walked upstairs and put a shotgun in his mouth. Nobody saw it coming, that was so tragic.

Welcome to the internet.

They are fucking evil over there. I feel sick for reading that shit.

Great, one of 'em even comments how bbing.com will sell more supplements now, oh that’s just fucking lovely.

Cold day in hell I’d buy a fucking thing from some sick motherfuckers who taunt a fucking KID into killing himself for some goddamn advertising. Jesus Christ, that’s disgusting.

This is sickening… I’m officially done with bb.com.

Oh, and if I see another kid say “brah” in that thread, I am going to snap.

Man those forums are retarded.

I gotta admit though, an epic pic with BRB pills subcaption would be pretty hilarious, all things considered.

Link?

Apparently one of the mods over at BB.com was one of the people egging him on? I can’t seem to find any verification of that…

Sad sad day…

There is always something worth living for, sometimes you need a true friend to point it out… sadly this guy didn’t listen to the people that mattered in his life…

sad sad day…

I haven’t read any of that forum’s links and don’t plan to watch any video of a suicide, but if it does make headlines, it will be us who suffer as well. The fact that it is a “BODYBUILDING” website will not be overlooked. It will be made the primary issue.

As far as that website, that is what happens when you try to appeal to “everyone” on a website. Some of these people would rather see you kill yourself for their own entertainment. Some of these websites seem to bring out pure evil in some of these people. These are also the types to claim they are “bullied” if you stand up to them at all.

I would imagine attention is exactly what he was looking for. Someone that close to the edge should never be taunted.

morbid curiosity, its like when your a kid and you want too poke the roadkill on the side of the road with a stick.

Wow go to bb.com there is like 10 threads about his death now.
