Substitutions for a Dude with Hip Issues?

If you neglected low reps they likely will give you a surge of new stimulation and growth.

Personally I tend to prefer low reps, especially for lower body. With my back issues, longer TUT gives me more room for losing tightness especially doing Squats, and that can quickly turn into a chiro trip, and a week of limping.

Right now with lack of time to keep travelling to the gym I’m doing CTs DB Apocalypse workout, and it’s been hitting me hard since I rarely care for bodybuilding type mind muscle connection training, but it forces me to focus and isolate on likes of DB chest presses because if I do full body press like on a heavy bench, I don’t hit failure quick enough. Even this workout, some days doing DB Squats with slow eccentrics with only 2 15kg DBs (i got a second one since), if I lose tightness I feel the twinge in my back.

Doing heavy weights with your hip issues tho, stay focused and controlled. If I went back to the gym I’d likely be doing 531 again, and the program we previously discussed can work, but as I said, don’t hammer heavy weights at the expense of your ability to move.
