Zercher squats are a good varation of the squat. There is no spinal compression. There is also a ton of abdominal and low back activation. It by no means would replace a traditional back squat but good for variety.

Also you can do them without safety equipment like rack pins because you can just drop the weight if you miss right? Never tried them myself.

So he squats 346kg but only bench and deads combined 500? Those numbers seem a little disproportionate but extremely impressive nonetheless.

Not a good idea to just drop the weight on them. The way the body is positioned you would drop the weight on your quads more than likely. If you tried to push it forward you would have to rock onto your heels and put way too much stress on the low back.

Best idea is to do them in a power/squat rack.

I have seen people deadlift in to zercher squats before (deadlifting resting the weight on the legs assuming the zercher then squat up);thats pretty impressive when done with lots of weight.
I’ve personally tried them only a handful of times … never incorporated them into any routine … I just have never been comfortable doing them … With that being said I kind of wanna go do em again until I get em
i always feel like the Zercher compress my diafram too much and hurts my breathing. i liked them when i used to work out at home and had no other option of squatting other than doing them but now its too awkward. really sucks cause my arm gets numb too when i have the bar on my back too long so they eliminated that too.

The kid benches 180kg raw.
hanley, hes 21, and your 22.
its sounds completly wrong to call him “kid” if your only a year or a few months older.
that like me calling you “kid”
hanley your a strong kid.
see why its wrong?
you should be atleast 40 before you call people kid.

It’s wrong because you said “your” and not “you’re”.
