That’s pretty damn impressive. I don’t know anyone that can even stand on a swiss ball much less do squats with 135 lbs while standing on a swiss ball.

I don’t think he’s accomplishing anything with that task but it’s impressive none the less.
agreed…

Finding a small farm animal and teaching it do the Macarena through rush hour traffic while eating a banana is impressive as well but it doesn’t make it any less stupid.
Wrangling rattle snakes is dumb too, but yet impressive. Get it?

Looks like some highly advanced form of plyometrics…

Have you ever seen anything more stupid, dangerous and hilarious at the same time?

The stupidity of Man is a well : some hit the bottom and ask for a shovel to keep digging.

Geez!

yeah, Swiss-ball sumo stance deadlifts.
Right! If we find the guy, we should advise him to do some. Strenghten his adductors and all…

The guy behind them isn’t even paying attention, which makes me think this was a common occurance. I second the crazed personal trainer idea.

l can do bodyweight pistols
on the bosu- flat side up,
and lve done bodyweight squats on the swiss ball,
l never tried weighted

  • it was just clowning around at the gym haha
not part of my usual training

edit- l will try weighted tomorrow,
if successful lll post it here,
if not funniest home videos

how did he manage to get on the ball with 135lb? skillz! fail at life though.

There was a thread about this same picture a few years ago. History does repeat itself!

I can beat that…

I interviewed for a job at this guy’s gym.

Did the crossfit look good on your resume?

Did you at least watch the video ? Or did you come in here just for that ?

God your arms look small in that avatar…

I’m impressed by this :

Yep, and it was still a stupid thing to do then.

World class skiiers do those. Fact they do all kinds of exercises on the swiss balls. It makes their stabilizer muscles incredibly strong which allows for greater control at the amazing speeds they travel at.

Until the guy put the barbell on his shoulders, I was impressed by his balance. After that, I recalled some T-Nation’s Coach’s sentence : “It’s highly improbable that you’ll need to squat weighed during an earthquake.” And found that so dangerous and dumb…

Thank you for posting this…

Sounds familiar to a brilliant standing BoSu ball, single arm band row disaster witnessed at my gym the other day. The poor client who is paying the “excessively overweight” trainer approx $40per hr was instructed to stand one foot on a BoSu ball while doing a single arm band row. The best part was the trainer used themselves as the resistance, by wrapping themselves around the other end of the band. Client finishes set only to release the band and send it flying into said trainers gut doubling the trainer over and launching the client in the other direction.

Pure Cutting Edge Training if only we could keep up…

reminds me of this

nothing to do with exercise but hilarious
