Stuffing My Face with Chicken

Marinade your chicken in milk and you will never eat dry chicken again.

Try bison, it’s amazing. 4 oz is 39g of protein and 6g fat. Of course, you might want more than 4 oz. Sir.
Yea that’s easy for you to say. Canada has probably the tastiest, most freely available Buffalo meat around.

I love poulet(like Dickbag said the rotisserie type is the tastiest), beef on the other hand i can’t eat so i gobble down Pork which is waaayyyy better than beef. You just need to use lean cuts, that stuff never gets old-i could eat probably nine big ole chop’s a day(can’t right now cause i got to lean down to 10% again :frowning: ).

Has anyone tried deer? Or Horse? I saw a news story in Canada last august - they were saying they slaughter horses in Ontario exclusively for the horse meat.

I eat about a pound of beef at a time now and that has close to 80-100gr of protein.

The bison sounds intriguing…but does it taste good enough that I can eat it every single day for the next year?
I would say yes. I love the taste of it and eat it about as often as I eat regular beef these days. I still like to alternate between them though, just so I’m not always eating the same shit over and over.

I buy it at Nob Hill, Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods. Not sure if you have any of those in your area. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen packs of ground bison at Safeway as well.

I did not find bison patties at Trader Joe’s…maybe Whole Foods carries them.

Does it taste gamey? Or is it more like beef?

My grocery stores sell 1lb packs of buffalo. I heat up the Foreman, toss the entire thing on the grill, smush it flattish, and cut it into quarters when it is medium well.

Delish, good for reheating too. I actually have buffalo for lunch today!
sorry did you post something? i just see breasts.

Dude, maybe you should lay off the chicken for a while.

I currently have some in the oven.

Thinly sliced strips of chicken breast marinaded in one part water, one part vinegar, three parts lemon juice for (I forgot about it in the fridge) three days, and drenched in various herbs and spices. I mixed this in with a pound of broccoli and baked it all in a loaf pan.

I’ll let you guys know how it is in a few minutes.

Sure it was only 3 days old???

If you don’t post back, I guess salmonella is having it’s way with your intestines.

You know … I could possibly say the most profound, life changing shit on this site … and the majority of replies to it would be exactly what B rock just said

Not that there’s anything wrong with that…

I think some of you just like showing off where you live. Someone from Iceland is going to log in next to give me a recommendation for Reindeer meat.

It’s Christmas. Leave the reindeer alone!
Well, I can say that I love steak and it would be easy (although a bit pricey) to substitute bison for steak. The taste is very similar.
We are lucky in Quebec for meat like horse and bison, it is not considered specialty here.

Most butchers and grocery stores carry both, as well as free range beef (loaded with natural CLA as well). Bison should be easy to find in the states, but fresh horse meat, not so much.
I think reindeer meat would be just like regular deer meat, which is awesome. I’d eat a Rudolph any day!

Chicken kind of sucks in that if you’re lazy and put no preparation into it, it tastes like the dried out shoe leather of a hobo. Beef, on the other hand…throw it on a pan, toss on some spice, and at WORST its going to be perfectly edible.

However, if you devote 20 minutes to making up a basic marinade, tossing a bunch of breasts into it and then cooking enough for a week, chicken can be awesome.

LOL.

It was OK. I probably wont make it again. hahah

the free chicken I get is good chicken.

it’s all prepped and de-fatted and ready to cook.

maybe it comes down to my laziness. i’d rather put 2-3 trays of chicken in the oven and have it done in 15min then marinate them for a day and have more dishes to wash.

yep.

that’s it.

i’m lazy.

yawn.

you guys who get tired of chicken…its because you should only ever eat chicken in the form of chicken wings, i eat that shit for breakfast, chicken wings is like one of my staples!

Actually I’m waiting for someone from Australia to recommend Ostrich eggs.

They have over 2000 calorins. Didn’t found any info about the protein content, but apparently they are 24 times as big as regular eggs. So that’d be about 145-170 proteins.

I would like to try these someday, but i have tried goose eggs and they are way more delicious and richer than any “omega 3” eggs i’ve eaten before. And they are v.cheap over here(like 0.06 dollars per egg).

I hear ostrich eggs stink. Is that true?

The smell is supposedly like that of a cistern…
