Study: Spike Insulin Post-Workout?

With the lack of cerebral challenging threads currently polluting the Supps/nutrition page, I thought I’d bump this to stir the intellectual pot.

Bill Roberts or anyone else,

So if we focus on Surge Recovery. It’s better to take say 1 Full serving before the workout (2 scoops) and then after the workout 1/2 serving ( 1 scoop)?

I’ve been doing the opposite for awhile and have been seeing good results, however; it does seem practical to open up your workout with your body in an anabolic environment.

Would it be better to take 1 full serving (2 scoops) immediately before the workout and then 1/2 serving (1 scoop) after the workout?

It seems practical that you should set your body in an anabolic environment before you begin training, but science seems to always contradict itself.

What are you guys views on taking Surge peri workout based on this study and your own experiences.

Although I hate to agree with him, Waterbury does recommend this type of protocol (taking carbs while lifting or immediately upon lifting instead of after)

Does he?

I’ve often seen him recommend high-GI carbs PWO but can’t recall seeing where he’s recommended the same pre-workout.
