Student Ordered to Change 'Offensive NRA Shirt'

No, but damn and fuck it every word you write is a record of what a person thought at a place and time. Put together, these records amount to a description of the intellectual state of humanity.
And it’s not pretty.

So we are curing cancer?

So what exactly are we curing?

We aren’t. Nothing is cured, nothing is solved, very little is changed and we are all losers. Such is life and fate.
But put it like this- if an archeologist, thousands of years into the future, discovered the remains of your hard drive, and somehow the words you typed were recorded for posterity, what would you want them to think?

I’d be more concerned about the porn.

You know, you might be a leftist but dammit I appreciate your opinions and the way you phrase them. I particularly liked your thoughts in the last page on the gun control thread. enlightened…for a rat bastard commie

joking, joking. but you’re dead right–the description of our intellectual state is…well, depressing.

How does the NRA?
The principal stated that the shirt had an image of a gun which is not allowed by school policy.
Why is that, in and of itself, offensive, violent, or divisive?
My guess is that any image bearing a gun is not allowed under the umbrella of violent. Not that this shirt was violent but they have to be consistent with the rules.
We all know it wasn’t the “gun” on the shirt that caused the offense, it was the “NRA.” Damn, since when does wearing a shirt with the name of a group that tries to represent our 2nd Amendment right offensive, violent, or divisive? Do you think even one kid at that school was offended or thinks a shirt with “NRA” on it was divisive? I don’t. The only person offended was some leftist teacher or school official that thinks guns have a mind of their own and kill people and bitched to the principal about it. I doubt one student complained about that shirt. You think if the girl was wearing a shirt with “Obama 2012” she would have had to change?

School to cop: No gun, uniform when picking up daughter

Some parents concerned about that fact that there was a fully armed officer on campus.

Scott Urkov got a call from the principal of Entz Elementary School in Mesa, Arizona, after he showed up at the school in his full police uniform including his sidearm.

Thanks…
But the way I see it, the problem is the lack of identification between individuals and the state.
If I had my way, the government would sponsor a nationwide volunteer program, similar to the duke of Edinburgh award program that I participated in as a teenager. They would learn that the state is not a separate entity, beholden to its own rules. It is our property, and our responsibility to maintain. They would reach this conclusion as part of a ‘debating society’ section of the award of their own free will.
God bless our royal Duke.

Oh say does that Star-Spangled Banner yet wave…

O’er the land of the Sheep and the home of the Slaves…?

The beyond the pale absurdity continues.
Any of these policies which anyone finds silly should not be blamed on schools and teachers. Policy is usually dictated by administrators who are influenced by parents and their lawyers. In other words, schools are not the problem but “we” are. There was that little boy who “identified” as a girl and wanted to use the girls’ bathrooms. The school tried to accommodate him (her?) by letting him use unisex bathrooms. What happened next? The parents get a lawyer.

School policies are not about what is right or wrong or what makes sense but rather, how to avoid lawsuits.

I’m pretty sure I’d laugh at the school if I was this cop.

So, if a crime occurs on campus, can the the cop bring his scary gun??

In other news, I find this offensive. So I’m gonna scream until schools make kids take this off…

Def can’t wear this. Do you know how dangerous a sword is?

WHoa call the police on this kid!!

.

You know, that’s a good point. The capital letter L is an extremely threatening letter, but we shouldn’t stop there, I mean, the letter F turned on its side is even worse, in that it resembles a submachinegun with a stick magazine holding far more than the number of rounds allowed by California state law.

What’s more, the letter J kind of looks like an old matchlock pistol or perhaps a derringer, like the little key fob gun that a student was suspended for carrying. The lowercase j is even more threatening, because the dot above it looks like a bullet that is being discharged. The letters V, A and W should definitely not be used by children, because their sharp points could be used as a weapon. A clear and present danger!

And I needn’t even mention the letter T, which in its lowercase not only looks like a sword, which has killed more people than firearms ever did, but also like a cross, which is a divisive religious symbol that has absolutely no place in public schools. As to that, the letter C, resembling a crescent moon, which is the symbol of Islam and therefore Islamic extremism and terrorism, should be stricken immediately from the American alphabet.

Furthermore, any words beginning with these offensive letters must never be used in public schools. Words like Liberty, Law, Freedom, Truth, Justice, and Constitution. These offensive words should be banned forever from American parlance. Think of the children!
