I don’t see how National Breast Cancer Awareness Month fits the bill of offensive, violent, or divisive though.
How does the NRA?
The principal stated that the shirt had an image of a gun which is not allowed by school policy.
We used to play war with toy guns on the playground at recess when I was a kid. You know, before all this school violence? Now toy guns, or even PICTURES of guns are not allowed, but we have shootings with real ones. Isn’t wonderful how far we’ve come.

God save us my Brother.

I mean, what does the school tell the kids when covering WWII?

“So we dropped a cylindrical thingy onto Hiroshima & Nagasaki, which made a poofy cloud full of rainbows, chocolate chip cookies, and puppy dogs. The Japanese were so moved by the gesture they surrender almost immediately out of gratitude.”
This is about the school dress code, not curriculum.

Oh okay gotcha, violence is okay if it’s in the curriculum, but not on a t-shirt.

Interesting.

Well that’s absurd
Sure it is.

Here’s something else that’s divisive and to some, offensive: breasts.

The only solution is to ban National Breast Cancer Awareness Month t-shirt from schools.

Right?
Except that the school does not have a policy, as far as I am aware, that does not allow a student to wear a National Breast Cancer Awareness Month shirt. They do have a policy for guns. If they did have a policy that prohibited a National Breast Cancer Awareness Month T-shirt and a student wore one, they could expect to be asked to change.

What if they wore breasts? Would that be acceptable?

The curriculum is shaped by a number of people, the student chooses what clothes to wear. Do you see the difference?

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say it’s probably not.

Now see, that’s sexist.

In what way?

Girls aren’t allowed to have breasts? what isn’t sexist about that?

Oh, I see you were trying to be funny.

NRA plans to sue California if Jerry Brown signs assault weapons ban.

No, goddammit. If a college demands that a person remove their breasts to adhere with the dress code, it’s OPPRESSION.

You would be absolutely right, if you could provide even one example of this happening in the U.S.

You can bet your sweet fanny BeefEater would pitch some kind of a fit if the “offensive” symbol were more in line of his kinda thing.
And you base this on what exactly? And what exactly is my “kinda thing”?

You tell me.

Well, I figured since you were makings some major assumptions about me that you must know me pretty well.

My kinda thing? Well, I’m pretty fond of lifting weights, horror movies. I like to read and write. I like to go hiking, camping, and play video games when I have the time, which I haven’t had the time for any of these recently. I’m a scorpio, I like long walks on the beach…

It’s 2013. Why the hate for Comanches? Wait, I get it. One of those traditions the NRA lays claim to was the killing of Comanches. I suppose it’s not fair to pay homage to those who were victims if you don’t glorify those who were killing them.
Oh good grief, you have zero chance of ever being taken seriously on this board by anyone other than your dog if continue to splatter us with this tripe.
It’s the internet. We aren’t curing cancer.
