I would have to say that low carb may not be the best way to gain size/strength. Im sure it can be done but maybe up the complex carbs and see how that works[/quote]
This pretty much exactly. Eat lots of whole wheat bread and oatmeal. It’ll change your life. It changed mine. carb protein fat ratio should be like 60/30/10, for packing on mass.
normal day
shred wheat, almonds, Metabolic Drive
peanut butter on whole wheat english muffins
double meat turkey sandwich, mixed veggies,
protein bar
lean beef or chicken, with either mixed veggies, potato, salad, and glass of milk
some sort of pre bed time snack
cottage cheese or Metabolic Drive before bed
You could try getting in another meal. Drink a glass of water before going to bed. When you have to get up and pee later, eat more cottage cheese, have a shake, something. You will add in a couple hundred calories and break the nightly fast.
thanks…normally for lunch i have a sandwich with either tuna salad, or turkey and cheese…what is the best idea for lunch when trying to build lean muscle, should i axe the sandwichs…and eat veggies and chicken breasts/steak loins?
