First, who is pissed? I just let him know that the same effort to get HUGE is there for any other size goal…so how does that translate into me being mad that he doesn’t have the same goal as me? What is my goal since you know so well?
Two variables, high muscle mass and low body fat.
You have more muscle mass than I would LIKE to achieve.
He has less body fat than most would LIKE to achieve.
So we don’t share the same goals.
My point is that it still comes under the umbrella of bodybuilding. Doesn’t look that emaciated to me.
While I don’t think the guy looks emaciated, I do think that even to achieve the “fitness model” or fit type look, he still needs to spend a good amount of time eating and building a better foundation.
Fuck this fitness model noise. THe kids clavicles are narrower than his hip bones. “Fitness model” is a very very specific look. Just because its less extreme than pro bodybuilder doesnt, in any way, mean that most people can look like that.
Proportions are everything.
Unless fitness model now means hollister co. model. If it does, well, I give up

LOL. If I had written these exact words, there would be protests right now.
Anyone acting like this kid does NOT need to build a solid foundation needs to quit giving anyone advice.
I didn’t write anything anywhere saying that everyone should have my goals in bodybuilding. I am still waiting on Yusef to tell me what my goals are since everyone supposedly knows.
This kid is skinny and needs more muscle. If you are arguing against this, just stop typing.

A 225lb clean and jerk at 7% bodyfat. You said it yourself. You never shut up about how much you love olympic lifting.
I am trying to figure out why BONEZ gets no response to comments way more harsh than anything I wrote but you and the OP decided my words needed to be attacked when this fucker is this damned skinny.
In the future, don’t critique my shit unless you have a real gripe. This nonsense where everyone acts like everything I fucking write needs to be argued against is old.
We just had some newb try to tell me off because he didn’t know what hand grips looked like. It would be cool if just once some of you were more developed or more experienced.
PX - don’t worry, Bonez gets his share of crap in the Beginners forum haha

Yeah, but the point is, they will literally IGNORE shit from other people but act like I need a law firm to go over every post just so some jackass doesn’t try jump in just to say, “HA, Professor X was wrong about something!!”.
If it wasn’t so freaking obvious, I wouldn’t be writing this.
Most of the people here are not making much progress but they have the ballz to argue against people who have for no reason.

Would OP have been better off posting in the Conditioning forum instead?
I think some posters see it as a form of one-upmanship to find fault in what you say. My only suggestion would be to ignore them, I mean it’s their loss if they’re not constructively looking at their problems.

Is that really how you feel? I’m really sorry for any offence caused.
You’re right that bonez could have been more constructive too, rather than ‘I have thick abs, deal with it’, he could have said ‘do more direct ab work’.
Whether fat loss advice should be sought in the ‘conditioning’ or the ‘bodybuilding’ forum is beyond me.
This wasn’t and never was about just “fat loss advice”. Anyone with half a brain can see this guy’s perception is off. I bet if you asked him to post a picture of what his overall goal is, you would finally see that yourself.
How many times has someone exactly like this posted here? Millions? Yet the rest of you are this slow to catch on?
I could see if I wrote something about he should weigh over 250lbs, but NOTHING like that was written. He is the one (along with yourself) who acted like because I have a picture of myself in my avatar that this is what I expected him to look like.
My question to some of you is how the fuck would I expect people to look like me if most of you can’t even break 200lbs without acting like steroids need to be involved?
It took me a decade and a half to get this big but you thought I think everyone should bhe my size and bigger?
What good did any advice you gave do in this thread?
Any?
No?
Then thanks for wasting my time.
@OP
Here’s what I’d do in your situation: going slightly above maintenance cals and hitting the iron hard, as always. Chances are, you’ll add some muscle during this phase (say, 3 months) without any (noticeable) fat gain.
After that, your metabolism will be faster for two reasons:
- it will have recovered
- your increased muscle mass will cry for more energy
Should you ditch what I’ve written above (no worries, pal), you might want to give Yohimbine-HCL a try.
Google for usage, dosage and complementary supps (such as caffeine).
A girlfriend of mine actually had success using topic Yohimbine applications.
And good job, so far.

Youre a little twat.
@ Professor X: It was about fat loss, hence the title of the thread. I think the reason people snipe at your comments is that you consistently assume the worst in people - that i am a sick, skinny kid with skewed perception and goals. I explained that my long-term goals are to get bigger, is this not what you are advocating? Equally, whether or not my perception is off is neither here nor there, you’re simply saying this because it is not in line with your own - again you are assuming the worst.
The reason for me posting was to seek some advice, this in itself suggests that I am NOT where I want to be. Granted, my efforts may be better focussed on getting bigger (which they now are) but why does that mean that insults are better than constructive advice?
You consistently mention that we are wasting your time, are we making you come here and post? No, you’re posting here and, as you imply, wasting your own time. I would also like to point out, while you insult Yusef for his advice, that nothing you posted helped either.
In answer to your question about Bonez, he actually started by providing a possible reason for my problem and suggesting a solution rather than hurling insults right off the bat.

WTF?
This was my first post:
Dude, if this guy trying to lean out even more isn’t raising red flags to the others here, then those people not aware of it should stop posting.
The chances of this guy gaining a lot of muscle are pretty slim if he thinks he’s fat now.
What insults were HURLED here?
Any?
No?
Then stop lying and complaining about the advice given when the fucking advice was gain more body weight and more muscle before worrying so much how your abs look.
Post a picture of your overall goal.
I really want to know.
@ FattyFat: Thanks for the advice man. I actually like your suggestion a lot, In what I had planned to implement I would be eating about 300 over maintenance (including calories burned in training) and I’ll just see where it takes me, adding macros when I stop gaining. Thanks again.
Professor X wrote:

@ Professor X: I meant later posts, I didnt consider that post so apologies for that.
Overall goal: I feel getting lean for me was an emotional issue, in other words, i’ve never been lean before - was fat as a kid and never really lost fat when i started lifting - this was an all or nothing attempt to get lean (in my eyes) to release the mental constraints and allow myself to gain some real size, I was convinced that I was destined to always be chubby and I needed to prove otherwise to myself.
This may seem odd to most (hence the argument) but I do feel it was something I had to do, I wouldn’t have been able to give getting bigger my all without doing this first.
I think the reason I wanted to drop the ‘stubborn fat’ was that I felt I had put in a lot of effort and still had fat around my abdomen. I guess in some ways your right in saying my perception is off and that perhaps I should have stopped my cut earlier, rather than seeking an extreme.
So, the plan at the moment is to add calories, much like FattyFat suggests and try to consistently gain some size for some time. I will try and minimise fat gain and may include short periods of lower calories (maybe 4-8 weeks at the most) but the ultimate goal is size. An arbitary target i set myself was 95kg at 10% body-fat, if and when I reach this I will re-evaluate.
I hope thats what you were asking for and not too controversial

This is a bad idea. Especially baring in mind your ultimate goal is size! Just modify your diet carefully as you go…if you’re gaining TOO MUCH bodyfat cut back a little on overall calories/ carbs.

I gave the same advice, but apparently any advice I give is only for people who want to weigh exactly what I weigh.

I said POST A PICTURE OF WHAT YOUR GOAL IS. I don’t need more words. I already know how you think. Post a picture close to what you think your overall goal is.
@ Shontayne: Thanks for the advice
@ Professor X: I only posted that on your request, would be nice to hear your other thoughts.
