Yes Matty you probably missed my pictures from last Wed workout.

Man that looks awesome…one day Im gonna get a home gym setup, its seems as if its the most ideal…I enjoy going to the gym but to have your own setup at arms length has got to be awesome. I gott see a vid of that when you do it.

^ I plan to do it, just want to have a few months of getting comfortable with it.

Monday Military

95 X 2 X 5
115 X 2 X 5
135 X 1 X 5

Working set

155 X 1 X 3
175 X 1 X 3
185 X 1 X 3+= 4

Miltary with Fat Gripz

135 X 5 X 10

supersetting

Lat DB raises

25 X 5 X 10

superseting

mini-band pull-aparts

5 X 15

Your set up looks awesome. Hoping to realize my home-gym dream within the next year. Good training over here.

^ Thanks Pete, in it for the long haul. While it sucks getting up early, why kid myself I still have to get up to fucking pee at least once a night anyway. I have bladder trained myself now to have to pee by 4:15 and since I am up mite as well start the day.

I haven’t tried early a.m. training in years, aside from steady state cardio stuff. Nice to have it out of the way, but especially in the winter here in Minnesota my body is just too damn stiff to think of moving heavy shit around.

No way I could do the morning long term, hopefully in a few years things will settle down. My youngest is a Freshman in HS, so after she graduates my after work/school activities will go away. Then I can change back to after work workout. The winter months are my hardest also, even though it does not get as cold here. 35 degrees is still cold with 90% humidity and 4:30 in the morning. Takes forever for my knees to warm up. Picture of that daughter holding my beer on St Paddys day.

Nice. Yeah, my motivation for building the home set up is kid related. One is 4, the other 9 months. While they both love the kids center at the commercial gym, I am not so crazy about the commercial gym. And we don’t really have child care at the barbell club, although I might not be beyond placing the kids somewhere safe, like under the reverse hyper, while I train:)

Would like to at least be able to have a pull/assistance set up in the garage. To do that I need to rehab and rewire the garage. Baby steps, it’s all a progression.

^ I still have a ways to go for some things, but then I start thinking about will I really use it. I really wanted to get into the PL game, but I just have to many injuries. With my work I cant afford to be incapacitated, I have no back up. I take 3 days off last week and you would have thought the fucking sky was falling. So now I am really just trying more of the strongman type training. Have to think long term health.

Too many injuries? Nah, that’s a good excuse to turn into a gearwhore:) Bad shoulders? Bench shirt. Hips, hammies? Suit, briefs.

Hahahahaha Adult life, give here take here try to keep balanced and not divorced for the second time. Then have to lose all kinds of weight to get the “abz” that I hear all the young women like. Then hang out in bars till 2 in the morning, to old for that shit.

But seriously I just dont have the time with work, wife and kids. Something has to give and my personal achievements have to take a back seat to an extent.

But I do hope some day I could try out using gear, just to see what I could achieve.

DO IT! Join the darkside

I think I’m being mocked. Don’y dis the HAWT ABZ.

Actually, according some ridiculous scientific study women don’t dig abs or bis. They’re attracted to guys with broad shoulder and backs. So… basically… powerlifters win again.

Now gay men, on the other hand…

Well while I love PL lifestyle, my body does not. I cant be 280 lbs with the cholesterol and heart disease of a 80 year old man. I really want my dick to work when I hit 50. I really dont want to be hypertensive, impotent, diabetic and missing toes when I hit 60.

I naturally have the big back and shoulders, so never been a problem.

Tuesday Dead lift conventional

Warm-Up
135 X 2 X 5
225 X 2 X 5
275 X 1 X 3

Working set

295 X 1 X 3
335 X 1 X 3
365 X 1 X 3+= 1

Felt good on the 365 but when I got to lock-out felt a twinge in the back, dropped the weight. Just didnt want another set back. I throw in the towel on conventional, I am going back to Sumo. It was growing a me an ass anyway.
