Hehe, I wonder what the ‘normal’ neighbors think when they see that stuff sitting out on the driveway.
Well I do put it back in the garage when I am done.
So this morning three people where excercising by walking, couple women and one man with a dog. Weird that one saw me doing the KB walks, one for Yoke and one for Farmers. They all just stopped for a few seconds, I didnt get to see there faces. I normally look down lord knows do not want to trip doing shit like this.
Awesome stuff with the yoke. It tickles me to think of you huffing and puffing up the street at 5am. You are hardcore. I even do my hill sprints under cover of darkness so the neighbours don’t think I’m a nutter.

Yea I know I would get some of the home owners association knocking on the door if I did it at 5 PM.
Well been a very interesting week. Was up way to late last night in after hours meetings, had a few to many Crown and diet Coke. First ones I have had in 6 months or so. Left me in no mood or energy to get up this morning and workout. I think going to try to leave work early and try to get an afternoon workout in later.

Your driveway looks like a great place , thats pretty funny about the dog walkers. Are you thinking of doing strongman. I say this because I dabble in strongman and my driveway bears a striking resembelance to yours. Good work with the yoke, your weight will go up fast on this, people don’t realize how techy lifting a yoke can be.
I try to do weighted backpack jogging as a alternate to the yoke, I pack about 120lbs in a frame pack and jog with it, some of the other dads on the block ( dog walkers ) say things like (you should try some weight in there) and I reply your right thats get advice thanks. Anywho I’m impressed with the yoke and the farmers walk impliments, keep up the good work.
^ Thanks. As I get older I am just trying to stay as strong as possible and as healthy as possible. My knees cannot take any longer the steady state cardio. So after reading Dan Johns articles and just more research I enjoy the strongman stuff. I was looking at heavy bag (punching bags) to use for duffel bag work. Thought would be easier than getting a duffel bag and filling with sand etc.

My knees have never really given me a problem other than aching constantly, when I started out lifting, doing Ripp’s Starting Strength program, and was squatting 3 times a week. That ended quickly. Since leaving the army, I swore off running, (Being in a light infantry division in Hawaii was very bad for a non-runner), so I do the bike more often for any kind of steady cardio, and as a bonus, I can read whilst doing it. Another habit I have picked up since leaving the army.
The sled drags and farmer’s walks do interest me though. I guess it wouldn’t be hard to fashion a couple of heavy ass thingamajigs with handles, might be easier and quieter for the neighbors than making a sled. I most assuredly won’t go as far as you have with the farmer’s bars, and a yoke, and thinking about sandbag work. I like sitting on my ass and reading too much to go as far as someone with your amount of gumption. I’ll sit on my ass and cheer folks like you on, heh.

Hahahaha I love to read and drink, so I have to do all this shit so I can continue to do that without guilt. I just like the variations and moving things around to keep me engaged. Plus I am just fucking weird.

What do you read?
My brother’s leavings, mostly. He has tried to get me into the Mitch Rapp series by Vince Flynn, but I tend to like fantasy stuff more than the Spy-type stuff. Currently reading Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time/Eye of the world or whatever its called series. I figure, as big as these books are, I am set for the next few months.

I have read both and all of those series, great reads. I tend to like fantasy myself, wife got me a Nook from barnes and nobles. That is dangerous, I dont even have to go to buy a book. Download the whole thing in 10 seconds.
How many of the Jordan books do you own? If you want some I have them all, I will send them to you.

Well the orthopedic surgen who runs owns the crossfit also runs a health and longevity clinic. My wife is best friends with his sister in law. For $1500 a year I can get my Test replacement and labs. Wife said if I did this though I would have to go to crossfit for more than once a week. I can talk her into two, but that puts me lifting 6 days a week? What do you all think.
I have been meaning to respond to this. Have you not been having some injury problems lately? Seems like adding in a couple of days right away would not help. I would thinking sticking to your present schedule and when you feel good then think about adding in another day. I have a feeling that the T would be more beneficial than the two extra days.

Yeah, I have had a kindle for a couple of years, it definitely makes it nicer, and since getting it i definitely read more. My brother has a crazy library of books, he has handed a lot off to me, Robin Hobb, Raymond Feist, George R.R. Martin(am looking forward to the series coming out on HBO of his ‘Song of Ice and Fire’ series) and some other less-noteworthy.
The Wheel of Time, I have been doing on the Kindle, and as big as those books are, I would rather not have the actual copies, hehe. The wife is already nagging sometimes about the amount of space the books I already have are taking up. My dad was heavy into selling his woodworking, and got me started with making stuff, but I haven’t done much in a few years, she says once we move into our ‘final home’, I will be tasked with installing floor to ceiling bookshelves, to get rid of the problems. After that, I might go back to buying more ‘real copies’ of books, but til then, I like carrying around a library that only weighs a pound.
I do appreciate the offer of the books, though. hehe
^ Funny you mention your issues with your wife, my wife is on my ass for the same thing. That is the reason she bought me the Nook. The other reason I was offering the books, so she can be happy with the thinning out. I just have a ton of paperbacks, need to just have a garage sell or load them up to half-priced books.
You know you ever have one of those thoughts of what looks good on paper but when you do it you were wondering WTF was I thinking? This was one of those workouts, wow, posterior aspect of my left shoulder was fucking screaming from this workout. Took at least 2 hours for the cramping and burning to go away.
If you are looking into TRT, I would definitely recommend Testopel, it has been working wonders for me…the least laborious method, no worries that the gel comes with, an injenction every three months and thats it!

Thanks Matty I actually have already started on TRT, by other means. After this cycle going to go with the Ortho Dr for continous TRT.
