Strongest Guy on My Block

If you saw it in person you would. I have patients even ask about it. I always chase the 14 year old daughter around to rub on her head. She thinks its gross.

Bulldog going to have to look at video tomorrow when I get home. What is it?[/quote]

LOL. I do the the same to my wife!!! Until she gets fed up with it and she smacks me upside the head.

The video is in regards to what we’ve been talking about.

^ Okay Bulldog watched the video’s. Yep that is why I am delaying, that much soft tissue trauma to the wrist is going to limit heavy lifting for at least a month. I have seen it done in real life so I know what is going to happen. My other issue is taking time off work. I can barely take half a day to do my CCE’s for my license much less to take care of myself.

that’s just plain nasty… Glad I rarely do curls at all.

Wow. Your benching is getting a lot better.

^ I was thinking about that today, haven’t hit legs in 4 weeks. With holidays and deload. Just done DL twice. And Bench feels strong and went up. Go figure.

Okay since I am going to do the warrior dash in March I need to do some cardio and I have made myself go do Cross fit with the wife on Saturdays. So you all please dont make fun of me.

Some warm up shit after I foam rolled. Rowing, stretching, pull ups and push ups.

Something called a tabata have no fucking clue what that means. I was prepared to die today.

Okay its 2 rounds of 4 excercises X 4 rotations of those lifts 20 seconds per excercise with a 10 sec rest between excercises with a 2 minute break in between the rounds. (need to be a fucking accountant)

Thrusters: 95 lbs (which is a powerclean to front squat and military press) As many you can do in 20 seconds
10 sec rest
Chinups: As many you can do in 20 seconds
10 sec rest
Hang cleans: 95 lbs As many you can do in 20 seconds
10 sec rest
Situps: As many you can do in 20 seconds
The above X 4 times
Rest 2 minutes
Repeat above

Fuck me tender I thought I was going to die.

I feel your pain.

First time I’m aware that you have a log and you’re doing Crossfit?!?!

Haha just teasing

You didn’t know what a tabata was? And that was the first tabata that you’ve ever done? Ha! I don’t envy you.

You made me laugh like, 8 times already so I’ll be following.

Tabata… That’s one of the few good, evil things in this world  Nice work as usual!

You’re trying to make me feel bad for a joke?
Tough crowd

I was saying that the tabatas were good, my first one were just squat thrusts, with 5 lb DBs.

Not trying to make you feel bad, I am just kind of embarrassed for doing it.

Why are you embarrassed?
Crossfit is just conditioning, and anyone who makes fun of you for do conditioning work sounds like they need to do conditioning.
I think X-fit just gets a bad rap because people make it their sole source of training. Therefore, the Crossfit bad rap doesn’t apply to you.

Oh, and I said that I laughed because I like the “Need to be a fucking accountant” bit

Don’t really know alot about crossfit but I know from experience that Tabata is seriously hardcore and if you can complete it easily, you weren’t doing it right. The original tabata protocol done on a stationary bike had world class speed skaters that couldn’t do all 8. So nothing to be embarassed about. Now if you did it wearing a headband and leg warmers that’s a different matter.

Well thank you for not killing me about it. No headband or leg warmers. Farmer I logged what exactly I did further up the page. There is no way that I would do x-fit full time, to me I am trying to live as long as possbile. I needed to throw in conditioning, this way at least I am held more accountable.

I used to do the Xfit metcon workouts for my conditioning.

Also the warrior dash is easier than you think. It was surprsiingly and disappointingly easy.

Joe I had worked up to weighing 245 at 5’9" I really dont think I could have run out of a burning building. Now I am down to 215 but I have to get the cardio up as a former fat boy of 305 it scares the shit out of me to bulk up that much.

Thank you for letting me know about the warrior dash, I would rather build up to things instead of dive head first and end up a parapalegic. My wife did the Spartan race last year and that did not look to easy. So I was worried about the warrior dash.

I know X-Fit is just circuit training really organized and sadistic. I just cant do steady state cario any more so thought I would enjoy the group S&M.

Nikki most of the guys in the over 35 are PL’rs and strongmen. So hence my embarrassment.

I agree that X-Fit is not the end all to be all, I was just telling my wife for all around health you need a little bit of it all. I have goals for DL and Squat that will never change, now I just want to do it at a lower weight.

I dont know how those guys keep up with the reps in their head, I normally cant count higher than 5 reps. But I’m from Tennessee so that may have something to do with it, I can only count to 21.
