So the Velocity Diet is something you order? You must be looking to cut some serious weight in a seriously short amount of time.
The Velocity Diet is on here through this website. Long story short, used to weigh 305 lbs, went down to 175 lbs as my lowest. Slowly through the years have bulked back up to 230-240. I turn 37 next month and I really need to drop some fat. Been looking at this for awhile. I will get 260 grams of protein a day so in theory should not lose my strength.

Okay took the plunge and ordered the Velocity diet. Should get it Tuesday, so now 28 days of pure hell. Will be very interesting to see how my lifts go.
I’ll be following this…
My wife would most likely have me locked up, in a room with padded walls, if I did someting like that.

On the 5/3/1 thing. Looks like a good idea
It is 28 days, if I can get through it with no drop in my lifts I will be very, very happy.

Good luck with the diet. If you get that much protein (260 grams), maybe you won’t feel deprived.
Thank you very much, the wife is already giving me shit, but after 12 years of marriage that is typical.
Well it is a kcal reduction, which will be hard (what diet is not) works out to 2000 on work-out days and 1600 on non-workout days. My plan is if I ever start to get that weak feeling I am just going to down another protien shake.
^ Yea, today is my first day with no workout, I am going to throw another shake in today to bump that up to 1900 calories. No fucking way I could get through work with only 1600. My wife does Crossfit with a guy here in Houston that states he is a mod here on T-Nation. Says he did the velocity diet and actually gained weight, of course he is in his 20’s and is less than 190 lbs any way. 27 days to go.

HaHaHa honestly I have some personal issues that I cannot share that has killed my appetite anyway. Or at least would have driven me to drink heavly. All I can say is that your children will be the biggest heart ache in your life.

I feel for you having been through more than a year issues with my son.

I have 5 teenagers, one with Downs and he is the easist of them all. My son has been giving me heart ache for over a year also (he is not the new heart ache) and I dont think I would have stayed sane without my wife and lifting.

I’ve done something really similar and it gets a lot easier after day 4, until then pound all the no cal fluids you can.
I have a gallon water jug that I drink daily at the office. I am very stubborn and hard headed and when I do something like this I dig down even deeper.
Yes, training really helps me cope with stress and life’s disappointments. I’m sorry for your struggles with your children. It’s wonderful that your wife is a source of solace for you rather than anxiety.

Thank you very much for the sympathy. I have been married to this wife for 11 years now, and three of the teenagers are hers. She is my best friend and my support structure. I thank God I was brave enough to go after her in college.
