Strongest Guy on My Block, The Return

I wanted to jump in here and mention I’m gonna try a CF session with a friend of my sister’s who has been bugging me for months to try it.

Should be interesting for me.

Here is one with my son and grandson.

Long story but my son has now moved away from his mom and is living at my parents ranch. Sober, clean and working his ass off. [/quote]

Fine looking grandson you’ve got there. Glad to hear your son is doing so much better, sometimes it takes getting away from everything to get straight.

Congrats on the Milly PR! 200 is a big milestone.

PREPARE to suck major fucking wind…try this, take your workout and do it nonstop. No rest at all between reps.

Report back.

Hahahaha!

I figure as much.

I think my cardio is pretty good these days…but I do understand there’s a big leap there. I guess it depends on the WOD the day I go.

Yea CF is in a transition phase still learning not to step on their own dick.

They have some good concepts they just need to get a little smarter.

Its fun, but it gets old, not a year around program for sure.

I actually did CF for like 2 months a couple of years ago, joined a gym and all it was just too damn expensive and just “liked” the more traditional type of lifting better…all jokes aside I have to get some sort of conditioning in a few days a week after the meet.

EDIT…205x2 Millie…awesome, 2 plates comin up!

Huge millies and good family news…

full of win.

I ‘played’ at the BK crossfit when it first opened
and was all set to drink the cool aid

fun toys great for conditioning
but perhaps too high a level of douchery
( at that one)

x2 Matty CF gyms are stupid expensive. Going to start my own CF training at home a few days a week.

Lol okay next week I will get the trainer to video.

I am doing 5/3/1 at least 3 days a week. Not on Bench I am pretty much done with flat bench because of my shoulder.

How bout inclines? They never bothered my shoulders, the close grip ilk are full o awesome!

Well I could try Matty, its not like I cant bench. I can do it sparingly but when I start going heavy and get into true competition lift form my shoulder just doesnt like it.

I had some success and less pain with a narrow grip with the fat gripz, really just working more on tri’s.

Picture of our gym mascot.

I love frenchies…

Most if not all of my bench work is somewhat CG, I may lose a few pounds of my bench but I feel comfortable and pain free with it.

Your way to strong to be a grand-papi! Congrats he is awesome!

And the Bulldog looks a lot like mine when he was younger. Remy is almost 9.

Friday Leg day

Warm Up 400 meter row, push ups, GHD back extensions, dislocates, foam roll etc

Back Squat
135 X 2 X 5
185 X 2 X 5
205 X 1 X 5
225 X 1 X 5
245 X 1 X 5
275 X 1 X 5
295 X 1 X 5
315 X 1 X 5+= 2 on the 275 felt some tightness in my left hip, stretched or strained a tendon. So stopped after 2

135 X 1 X 100 standing calf raises

135 X 2 X 20 walking lunges

This.

That said CF 1-2 days a week around your training can do wonders for your conditioning.
