^ That sucks, my advice you need to lay off lower body at least 2 weeks. I know that is not what you want to hear man but you may have no choice. Are you elevating and Icing it at night?
Can’t I just tape the shit out of it for the next two weeks instead?

I’m saying, lets say I completely ignore your advice, what is the worst that happens? It still feels like it does? I can live with that.
You ever see the NFL combine? M Crabtree? This can linger for a long time if it is an actual break. Yes you can tape it, BUT two weeks versus long term? Its not a race Beans its a marathon.

More running.

4.2 miles in 45 minutes. Tomorrow just going to do some machine easy stuff then more running on Wed and Fri this week. My beautiful wife brought my foam roller with her this weekend so I have it this week.

I only run when I am chased, very rare these day, plus with an ankle fusion it’s less a run and more of a grotesque shuffle-whimper-drag.

4 miles in 45 minutes sounds to me like you are trying way to hard to be fit, slow down some, eat some cake take a nap, or maybe I should just congratulate you on being motivated enough to do something that really sucks and is very hard.

Congrats.
Sorry missed this earlier, I used to do it a lot so even though I am not built to run, I am fucking hard headed. I go through cycles on lifting and running, keeps me balanced. But thank you sir.

That’s is excellent, considering you were sucking wind and dying running 200 meters a month ago.

Jerk face! I’ve been trying to build up to running just 3 miles for the last month+ and still can hardly run one. Good job DJ.

^ hahahahahahahahaha Dday at one point a few years ago I was running more than 20 miles a week. I would actually get on a treadmill and put it on a 8 minute mile and run while watching a whole movie. Now I looked like a concentration camp victim but I could run.

Kind of like riding a bike I suppose, once you can do it with a little time and you can do it again. Pretty sure I’ve never in my life ran more than 1.5 MAYBE 2 miles at one time.

Apparently I need more cardio

^ Well doogie if you have to stop cause you think you are having chest pain or cant catch your breath, then yes time to get the cardio up.

Dday yes it is man, if you stopped lifting for a few years it would not take long to get back to a decent base strength. Muscle memory is not a myth. Fucking Doogie was off heavy weights for a while and he starts back and is already benching more than me with two years back at the heavy iron. Fucker.

My shoulder isn’t as fucked as yours, though.

Yea I have issues. I have a high pain tolerance and I am very stubborn. Worry’s the wife.

20 miles a week, holy shit, 8 min miles, thats some serious stuff!

^ It was after I herniated the three discs in my back, I had to drop weight. I am an all or nothing type of guy bad thing about running is like anything else. You get better and you have to do more and more, then shit starts to break down. I dont want to be back there for sure, but I need balance 40 is around the corner. I just have the genetics that certain things are attainable and some are not. I just want to be 60 years old still strong and athletic.

Hell yeah! That’s my goal too.

james

I’m just hoping to be 60 and upright

I’m hoping to be 60 and the powerlifting champion of the world.

I want to be 60 and King of the World. But I’ll settle for mobile, strong and getting lucky regularly.
