Strongest Guy on My Block, The Return

DJ - Regarding the stead state cardio

PICS OR IT DIDNT HAPPEN!!!

oh snap, teh wimminz are in volved now.

Gawd, how bad would it be if I actually talked/typed like that?

Get that Tom Brady picture off of there, that is atrocious.

<------------------Okay Dixie finally got permission all done. What are your referring to on talk/type?

Matty Jesus man wouldnt that be the most fucked up video of 45 minutes of my fat ass running on a treadmill.

DJ…no disrespect, but you are a very luck man, your wife is beautiful, (saw new avi)

^ thanks I think so, definitely married up.

Thanks Matty. DJ I gave him your number this morning after our hellish workout.

HIGH 5, I did too.

Worst part is, once she smartens up and leaves my stupid ass, my standards will be so high I’m going to die a lonely bastard.

X2 Out kicked my coverage for sure.

I can’t do steady state cardio for any reason now. I’ll do a mile for time but after that I’m out.

^ I have no choice, with my schedule down here just dont have the time or energy. Back is healing up and this is just an extended deload so its all good.

Dixie now I understand.

More running this morning.

4 miles in 45 minutes. Been a few years since I have done that.

Dude, pretty sure I broke one of the long bones in my foot that connect to my toes. I think it is a small break, because it is a dull pain and I can walk on it and shit.

Tonight’s ā€œdeath by heavy shitā€ workout didn’t help. There is some minor swelling.

The following is the conversation I expect if I go to the DR:

Beans ā€œWhat cha think Doc?ā€

Doc ā€œstop putting 300-400lbs of additional pressure on a broken bone you stupid shit. Wear this ugly ass moon boot. Take some Advil.ā€

Beans ā€œWhat happens if I ignore everything you just said?ā€

Doc ā€œAsk DJ so as to ensure your foot won’t turn purple, die and have to be surgically removed.ā€

Sorry to make your thread about me… But, I’m worried man, and my Doc suggested I consult with you, as you can see from above.

Why are you thinking break? Could be soft tissue, tendon etc. What where you doing?

I smashed it into the back of my right foot, which I had smashed into the leg of the loveseat running by it playing with the dog.

It feels like my foot is splitting in two every step I take between my second and third toe, but in the middle of my foot.

It isn’t an intense pain at all, but it’s annoying.

^ That sucks, my advice you need to lay off lower body at least 2 weeks. I know that is not what you want to hear man but you may have no choice. Are you elevating and Icing it at night?

I swore off running after leaving the army. So none of the running type steady cardio for me. Running used to bother my back as well the last couple of years in. It doesn’t bother yours to run? Especially for 45 mins?

^ Nope I used to run a lot, if I over do it my knees will start to bother me but that is it. For me it drops the pounds by running.

I only run when I am chased, very rare these day, plus with an ankle fusion it’s less a run and more of a grotesque shuffle-whimper-drag.

4 miles in 45 minutes sounds to me like you are trying way to hard to be fit, slow down some, eat some cake take a nap, or maybe I should just congratulate you on being motivated enough to do something that really sucks and is very hard.

Congrats.

Can’t I just tape the shit out of it for the next two weeks instead?

I’m saying, lets say I completely ignore your advice, what is the worst that happens? It still feels like it does? I can live with that.
