Stronger in Unilateral Load Than Bilateral

Hello Christian,
I am currently following the bullet proof program and I noticed that I was stronger in terms of load and also more comfortable when the movement was unilateral (eg: one-arm Romanian dumbbell deadlift).
I am very surprised.
Do you know where this could come from?

Keep in mind that some unilateral movements still involve both sides to some extent. For example, when I was doing the 1-arm barbell power snatch I eventually worked up to 185lbs… which looked mighty impressive because people automatically made the calculation if he does 185lbs with one arm, he can do 370lbs with both arms… forgetting that both legs as well as the whole back was involved.

At the time my best power snatch (2 arms) was 265… pretty far from 370

Okay I understand :slightly_smiling_face:
In any case, it’s an atypical but terribly effective (and painful) program!
