Strong Coffee Cafe

I’m drinking tea - how very British of me.
Car - nope. Live in London. I use the tube and walk everywhere.
Holiday - anywhere with rollercoasters. I only do holidays with theme parks. 2007 - 2 week Scandinavia trip (Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark). 2008 - USA trip from Texas up to Minnesota. 2009 - South Korea and Japan. 2010 - USA again, this time Carolina up through Virginia, PA, NJ, NY and finishing in Toronto. These are all amusement park trips, done on a bus with the European Coaster Club. Yes, I’m a 42 year old child. Oh and PS, I spent the rest of my time playing computer games. Why have kids when you can be one?

Keurig brewer, best invention ever.

For the office, where no one ever cleans the coffee pots and all you need is a functional pick-me-up, agree 100%. For a cup of coffee to savor, no way. And I only do coffee condiments if it’s in the form of a latte - regular brewed coffee should always be strong and black.

My ride is a '03 jeep wrangler with a 4in lift on 33" tires. It is my baby and taking it off-road is the most fun. This is basically my dream car, so aside from adding accessories to it (like new seats, 5 point harness, etc), it’s all I’d ask for.

And with $2000 and a week… well, that’s tough, but maybe a trip to Canada to do some outdoorsy things, or perhaps to a Club Med where I could go scuba diving or trapese-ing.

Good Morning Everyone!

new question: what’s your favorite lift/exercise? (by the way anyone can jump in with a question of their own)
and yes Madame Bear this is a pathetic attempt at keeping my idea alive, I’ve got some Baily’s hiding behind the bar that I can splash generously in those coffees.

my fav, DB curls and farmers walks- stuff that make my tris and bis pop out like mad. Also despite the fact that I’m gritting my teeth and starting over for form, the squat. I enjoy the way my whole body needs to be focused to do those right. Hopefully the love I give them will come back ten fold.

cheers

Hiya!

I’ve said it before, but my fave is definitely the Bulgarian Split Squat - I just love how strong it makes my legs feel, especially when I switched to the BB. But I think this is partly because I love all lower body work.

As for upper body, I love doing pullups/chinups despite the fact that I still find them ridiculously hard. They also make me feel super strong! Same with incline DB press. Still chasing those 40s, but I love the challenge.

Favorite lift- a toss up between shoulder presses and dead lifts!

I also love long walks on the beach and romantic comedies :stuck_out_tongue:

My favorite lift- it’s a love/hate thing but squats. When I have a good flow going, I can pound out 15 sets and I’m on top of the world. But if it’s an off day or I didn’t stretch enough, I want to kill a small country (but I’m not that mean…really!).

Don’t kick me out because I don’t drink coffee…I get my kicks from green tea!

I’m not for kicking anyone out - tougher to spike tea, although my husband does ad a splash of whiskey or cognac on cold winter days.

favorite lift: deadlifts, I think. I’m a simple lady. I like whatever lets me move the most weight.

i’m leaning towards deads myself. it’s something that doesn’t hurt my hips. it’s relatively heavy. makes me breathe hard… and i look almost like a bad ass since almost nobody does them in my gym.

i’m liking those BB rows since i’m now pulling 50s. basically anything that is heavy that doesn’t cause me pain. i thought i liked squats til the hip issues really came to light.

page 2 - not dead yet. All right, if you could design a “T-Nation Powerful Women” T-Shirt, what would be the moto?

I need to think on this one myself. I’ll reply later today with something smart (I hope).

who needs big tits with an ass like this?

ok-that’s not really a PW thing. just amusing since i know that most of us here are lacking in the big breastesses dept ('cept Skye!!)

^ Love it.

aww- sky I’m looking for something everyone here would support…

Well Hello. This sounds fun-I’m such an obsessive log keeper myself, that honestly I find reading page after page of other people’s reps/sets tiresome. This promises to be much more entertaining.
Hope its OK to join the coffee clatch a little late…
Drink my coffee strong and black. We have a Keurig at home and I usually use 2 K-Cups for 1 cup o’ coffee. During work hours, we are fortunate to have many excellant local coffee purveyors to choose from. I confess to being a coffee snob as well as addict, I will drink it right up til bedtime.
Car: The County provides me with a lovely Ford Crown Vic and all the gas I care to burn up. Home vehicle is a 07 big black Suburban. Dream vehicle would be a 1 ton dually and a 34’ fifth wheel for full-timing when retired (Gulf Coast of Mexico here we come!) Also answers where I would go with a week and $2000.
Favorite lift is a toss between deads and pull ups, if pull ups count as a lift(?)
Don’t have a t-shirt slogan yet, but if you come up with a good one I’ll buy 2!

Hi DoGooder!
nice of you to drop in. I thought this would be a neat idea but I’m having a little trouble keeping this place alive… anybody can poste whatever the hell they want ya know - this isn’t my personal space.

as for the answer to the trip I am going to varadero, cuba last week of april. cheap, sunny beaches for two with plenty of rum. There goes all the work I’ve done on my ass. Can’t wait to wear ma bikinis again though:)
cheers
N

i sure like the sound of that place…Varadero!! i can roll those r’s just fine-but masch you can give me some tutoring if the offer is still good!

i haven’t been so active around these parts this week-but i likes what you got going on here. i’ve obviously mentioned it in my log, but i’ll throw it out here…anybody snowboard out there? i’m freakin hooked after just 2 days of it. in fact, i scored a new board and bindings off ebay for super, super cheap.

i’m heading to Arizona week after next. there will be a LOT of drinking involved. and i’m not talking about coffee.

Arizona - I’m guessing it’s not for the slopes - Although I’ve heard people run the sand dunes. Um are there sand dunes in Arizona? I might need to brush up on my geography.

^LOL

I’m terrible with geography as well, especially U.S. geography.

Sand dunes… you might be thinking of Dubai. :stuck_out_tongue: I have a very good friend who lives out there, and they have some wild parties out on the dunes. I need to save up and head out there for a visit already!
