I don’t think I’m even physically capable of running it up that far. On my last stress test I was running full sprint at an incline and could only get my hr. to 150.
You must have been pumping along at about 70+rpm the whole time.
Just don’t look at @kleinhound 's log. Every time I feel pretty fast on the track, I see his times. Me: 6 min/mile pace. I’m killing it! Him: 5 min/mile pace. Multiple laps.
Look on the bright side- now you’re stronger for it! Like the first time I saw somebody pull over 600. I was like “well my 3 plates are officially crap!”.
A buddy of mine rides the rail trails from here (Pittsburgh) to Washington DC over the course of like 4 days every spring around the end of May.
The upcoming rest sounds timely. Do you do any rotator cuff exercises, such as external rotations or band pull-aparts? For pushing moves to not wreck my shoulders, I have to do three out of four movements each week; any combo of face pulls, rear delt flyes, pull-aparts or external rotations (horizontal and vertical) keeps my shoulders together and even feeling good.
Haha the boomerang band is quite timely. It took a couple weeks of low-ish volume for pull-aparts to take effect for me. Hopefully they’ll help sort your shoulders too.
