I’ve picked up a couple Pavel books recently, and also read (and listen to) plenty of Dan John. I now have 36, 28, 22, 16, and 8 KG bells, and want more! In my opinion, they give lots of the quick movement benefits of olympic lifts, but are much more versatile, easier to learn, and can be implemented in such a wide variety of workout scenarios. At the end of last year, I did Pavel’s Simple and Sinister program, which calls for heavy 1-arm swings and heavy get ups. Then, I listened to Dan John who says he thinks 2-arm swings are superior, and that going heavy on get ups. After doing the program, I tend to agree with Dan John’s assessment.
I’m planning my HIC for the week, and for BB I’m limited to the #1-10 in TB2. Also, it’s going to be raining here all week, so I’m going to plan on doing them in the garage with an Airdyne. I’m thinking Black on Oxygen (swings + airdyne sprints) and BOO 2 (burpees + airdyne sprints) for the first week. I HATE burpees, but that means I need to do them more.

BOO in particular. I can’t remember the name however the one with 400m sprints combined with KB swings was savage.
That’s the thing about TB2. The workouts are very empowering
Mass Protocol has its own HIC drills so I’m kind of limited with my own output.

Cotsco cake is flat out magical.
When I was in college one summer, I did some 4 week extreme something or other course where we were walking a minimum of 13 miles a day on top of some other physical stuff. I dropped about 10lbs and was the thinnest I had ever been in my life. I told my girlfriend (future wife) all about it, and was going to see her in a week.
My mom bought a Costco cake to celebrate my return home.
Over the course of that week, I ate the entire cake.
and put all the weight back on.
My girlfriend was unimpressed, haha.
