30 mins Airdyne work interspersed with KB work

The HR spikes are the exercises. KB squat and complex took the HR into the redline

Brutal session.

I’ve strained my back enough to stop me doing upper body lifting for 2 weeks before. By walking slowly up a hill. Yep, I was walking up a hill, minding my own business and something in my rhomboids or lower traps or something went ā€œnope, fuck you, I’m going to break nowā€.

Mate there I was trying to have some fun with my wee girl and thinking she might be inspired by her dad and his fitness moves.

One wee daft rollout later and I’m lookin on at 3 months of fat loss and gains go up in smoke before my very eyes.

Tbh I think the Kb complex, press specifically, has set this up. Never felt entirely comfortable with pressing a KB overhead

I just figure hurt happens. It’s easy to ā€œshouldaā€ it after the fact, but you’d never do anything if you actually lived that way.

Yeah but you aren’t about to give on to the middle aged spread and elasticated waists yet man. Better start that one armed pull up training.

If it’s a pinched nerve you may be able to un-pinch if by loosening up your neck muscles. I used the McKenzie Neck Exercise, kind of pulling my jaw back into a double chin to stretch the back of neck.

I get that every time I do Z press for whatever reason. I have to lay on a lacrosse ball behind my neck/ trap area. It’s sucks, but that opens it up relatively quick

That seems like it could save me a lot of pain at least man. I’ve been getting pain in my neck everytime I press for about a year now. This feels like it might be the fix, thanks.
