How much time do you have to budget towards your goals man?
1 hour gym time and 30 mins cardio at night when the kids are in bed.
Thatâs the structure Iâve been working off
Iâm just venting mate. This log is my only outlet
Itâs frustrating times man. Plenty you can get done in that time with no gym though, once youâre all recovered
It sucks with lock down but if you keep smashing your sessions on the air dyne you wonât go backwards and can come out of lock down primed to really crack on.
Cheers lads. I need a good kick up the arse.
I woke up today and could literally feel a vag starting to sprout .
Iâm gonna have to suck it up and hit the KBâs and Airdyne hard
How heavy is your KB? I was thinking about the 10k KB challenge over lockdown but donât have a heavy enough KB. When I did it before I lost weight even after eating more.
Thatâs an idea mate
16, 24 and a 28kg matey
Maybe you can try some crossfit wod with the airdyne and your KB ?
Keep it going mate, youâre a beast
Cheers @jibb mate
Knew I could rely on you for a pep talk!
How you feeling man, any better?
Not too bad mate.
Hopefully get some KB work along with the Airdyne in over lockdown.
I feel you mate. As people working (or for me, soon to be) in this field, itâs hard to see a part of our identity, our career, our âmomentâ being taken away and put in jeopardy.
But look at the weight loss youâve done, what you have achieved! Do you really believe you wouldnât have done it without a gym? I donât. So use these KBs and do some great work! I donât even have them and I have done some ass kicking, productive, resultat-wielding stuff! I second @jibb on doing WODs or yeah the 10K challenge! Having a goal might be the only thing that you need.
Here the lockdown will most likely be over soon, it wonât be as long as last time, so keep your head up and keep killing it!
@ChongLordUno and @aldebaran: I ever share my â1000 push up workoutâ with you? Now would be a great time to try it. No better way to blow up the entire upper body.
Every minute, on the minute, do 20 push ups for 50 minutes.
If thatâs beyond your ability, do fewer push ups or a longer workout, but otherwise, if you need a 1 hour âgym sessionâ to hit the pecs, shoulders and triceps, this answers the mail so well.
Josh Bryantâs âJailhouse Strongâ has a few good bodyweight workouts in it as well. I can spring for a kindle copy for you guys if the cost is prohibitive, or just share some more workouts if youâre curious. I donât wanna overstep, as I imagine youâve got plans, but sometimes the creativity these limitations inspire can result in something magical.
Talking for me only, but as I donât have a gym, or when I do train in a gym itâs random training mostly for educational purposes, I think this the kind of stuff that is great actually! Iâm persuaded exploring a new kind of training (like bodyweight right now) have allowed me to work different qualities that Iâm not used to (endurance, lots of volume, more cardio) and that it has been very beneficial to me.
But damn a 1000 push-ups ahahah⊠Iâve done a Murph not so long ago, and it was hellish as well
But I really like these mini-workouts, these challenges, they motivate me way more in these times than doing just regular training with BW
@T3hPwnisher Thatâs Mondayâs workout sorted ![]()
Feel free to post those workouts mate. Iâll do them!
Thanks very much you handsome bastard
If you want more ideas on stuff to do at home, pick up a copy of Never Gymless by Ross Enamait from his website. Itâs an ebook and currently on sale for $1.
Sorry mate I never really got to expand on this as I was putting my wee girl to bed when I replied.
I absolutely agree. These weird times can indeed inspire simple yet creative workouts
Years ago, I would set the clock and see how many chin ups I could rep out in an hour. No stress. Just hard work.
Back and Abs doms for days as well.
Then the kids came along and time manage to became an integral part of working out this taking the fun out of it at times ![]()
