Strong and Conditioned (ChongLordUno)

To be fair mate I’ve had it a couple of months now so have built up a good level of Airdyne fitness

Use it mostly for steady state however throw the odd HIIT in there

Do you find doing those later sessions interferes with sleep? And how close to bed do you do them?

Not at all mate.

I usually have a bowl of cereal straight after then hit the sack.

Always sound asleep by 10pm at the latest.

Airdyne ADR2 all the way however quite pricey and probably difficult to acquire in a post COVID world matey

Road bike with a smart trainer and Zwift would be a good option in my opinion however probably a bit of a leap

Cheap treadmill for incline walks perhaps?

Or you could go all fucking out and just go for a run :joy:

Smashed the 10 miles in under 30 minutes

Couldn’t get to the gym this morning due to the kids

Took my mood out on the Airdyne

The HR dip at the start was my missus calling me on my phone as well :man_facepalming::joy:

How much have you improved your 30min with all those Airdyne sessions?

I’ve been hovering around the 9 mile mark this week so just decided to go for it today.

I’m still tired from it as we speak. Can feel that it will take a day or two to recover from.

Every day’s a school day man

Learned a harsh lesson today.

Never have a lifting sesh when you’ve PB’d on a HIIT Airdyne session

Lifts were way down. I was shattered

Had to scratch that itch though.

I am obsessed with the idea of getting shredded and fit as fuck

I read somewhere, “never go for two PRs in the same session”.

Plus, personally, I find cardio PRs even more draining than lifting ones!

I am less obsessed with it, but honestly the idea is always at the back of my head. Just put it on a simmer til spring ahah. I guess we just want to get better? Nothing wrong with that!

Without a doubt. I don’t even think you can compare the two in all honesty

A 5k for time is one of the worst things ever

As is the Cooper run

I’m focusing on the RDL as a main lift and want to see how far I can take this

Reason being that I have always sucked at deadlifts and the DOMS I had from this last week were legendary thanks to the pause at the bottom. Upper back was fried for days

You’ll be there in no time. Just stay consistent.
