Consistent work! What caused the first spike?

Well done for keeping working after, what I assume was a heart attack.

Haha it’s my HR monitor. The battery is low and it likes to play up.

Then come to think of it, I’m always para that I’m going to wake the family up. I take my 3 month old down and lie him on the kitchen worktop in his cocoonababy while I use the Airdyne. The noise of the fan sends him back to sleep.

Managed to get a 10 miler on the Airdyne last night. Played loose with the HR as the monitor is gubbed

Had an interval session tonight

2 min warm up
8 x 30/30 work sets
2 mins rest
8 x 30/30 work sets

Felt good man

Can definitely feel the conditioning work do its magic

What effects of regular conditioning are you noticing right now - leanness, recovery ability, stronger legs, energy level…?

Feeling in a good place overall with my training.

Conditioning feels great. Intervals on the bike although hard, I’m recovering quickly from and have more output

Energy levels are high throughout the day and that’s with 5am rises through to bedding down at 10pm. Throw in running after my 19 month old daughter as well.

I’ve lowered my training maxes as well so the strength work seems fairly easy at this point. Bar speed is fast on all compounds.

Can hit 12 ring chins now which I’m happy about. My first session after lockdown, I could hardly manage 3.

Leaning out as well. Me and my missus are on a loose OMAD schedule with the odd splurge thrown in. I must admit, since turning 42 the weight is harder to budge.

Sounds like your training is on point three days, especially for your current energy needs. Heck yes! Well done with the ring chins, double digits of those bad boys means good pulling strength. I prefer the feel of ring chins to all other varieties.

So. Much. This. Were you born in '78 too?

I’m trying to train in some capacity on a daily basis or at least 6 days a week.

Some days I don’t log

I’ll do band work and always try to get on the Airdyne at least once a day

I’m leaning towards the same, training some way every day or six days a week. Walking my dog for a whopping mile might be all the exercise I do some days, but daily frequency, increased conditioning volume, and judicious use of lifting is my plan too.

I’m trying to block out the white noise.

I’m trying to focus on consistency instead of optimal.

Training every day is something I picked up from Tactical Barbell.

Doing something everyday, regardless of intensity will ensure you reach the top of the mountain.

Detach yourself from the stress of achieving ā€˜results’

Just do something be it 100 band pull aparts or a dog walk.

Just keep moving.

I’m going to be 62 when my boy is 20. I want to still be able to take that wee bugger down.

My old man also succumbed to stomach cancer when he was 53. This is always at the back of my mind.

Just keep moving man and let’s keep each other accountable mate
