This is awesome. I’ll always root for people that work hard at something to be successful at that thing. There’s enough success lying out there for all of us to have some! Just gotta go get it! I hope this ā€œsomethingā€ happens for you.

I just knew that burpees were going to take a hit on this article :joy:

I particularly enjoyed the bit about speed squats being a good alternative because they save your knees. I can’t think of a quicker way to fuck my knees up than high speed, high volume squats.

I’m starting to lose faith in here

Tanner broke me when he said the Airdyne was better

I couldn’t even do 2 navy seals when I was hitting a sub 30 minute ten miler on my Airdyne

Rugby, cricket, squash, tennis, endurance running, sprinting, various flavours of weights (never been my strong point) - bodyweight training in my later years has had the lowest correlation of injury of any of the above.

Better for what? And for who?

I really question that kind of blanket statement.

Chaos is the plan. The best thing for conditioning is the thing you’re NOT doing. Adaptation is death.

So in that regard, the Airdyne CAN be just the thing you need…until you need burpees. I just blew out my lungs on the prowler this morning. In short order, I can adapt to that and need something else.

Surely you’re exagerating. But yeah burpees are great. I usually do them your way now (with a push-up and no jump, to save my knees). Saturday I spent 12 hours with the repairman at my house. At some point I started doing burpees and squat when he didn’t needed me.

Also bear crawls are awesome. I still have flashes from the Marcus Filly shoulder destroyer:
20" L-Sit
15m Bearcrawl
15m Backwards Cearcrawl
10 KB Clean and Press
5 Pull-ups

for 15 mins. the Backwards bearcrawls were just insane in terms of shoulder burn

That’s exactly what I do with burpees

Add pumps on and play with variations

This is why you’re one of the only guys I listen to on here

Salute brother

Hell yeah dude! You’ve got a solid enough system, and it’s complete and total ā€œno excusesā€. I’ve referred a lot of folks your way who are lacking in creativity. An absence of equipment in no way means an absence of ability to achieve results.
