No sure who first said this but I think it’s pretty spot on.

Saw this pop up on IG this looked brutal. You really are a total training mentalist. Love it mate.

Haha cheers @simo74 my man

They are absolutely brutal. I’ve got 500 in my sights and tbh this will be utter pain.

The upper body gains from multi pump burpees are insane. I think a lot of folk overlook/ are unaware of this

Mate I have been talking about the benefits of lots of push ups for chest, shoulders, triceps for a long time. Every time someone says they are struggling with bench you will notice I ask them how many push ups they are doing. Hi reps multiple days a week are magic.

Absolutely @simo74 big man

I recently repped out 100kg on the bench and got a BW overhead press and I barely train the lifts. The bench press I haven’t done in months.

Come on man, what is that all about? I was told that bodyweight training makes you look like a girl.

That was buy someone who tried to look good on one set of 20 push ups a week. The real magic is in the BIG numbers

Yup you hit the nail on the head there. One quick example is Hershel Walker…but to mention my own experience, there was a long time in my training career where the focus was high rep body weight stuff. Hundreds of push-ups, pull-ups and sit-ups every week, tons of body weight squatting, and so forth. Little bit of stuff like lateral raises and curls, but not a lot. It got me into great shape and I looked pretty good. Ever since I got away from the high volume push-ups, my chest doesn’t look the same. I remember 3 workouts where I had hit the highest volume I ever did on push-ups, the first being 700 and the other two were 1000. I would like to get at least sort of back towards that type of training, but still have a small dose of bodybuilding stuff, cause I do like training that way too

Agreed.

Bars, ā€˜bells, bodyweight. The 3 B’s of training. All the best things start with B.

Such as babes, boobs and booties.

Or burgers, beers, and brats. I like this game!

Does the first B of the list exist without the other 2?

Beef, bourbon, Bo (Bo is my dog)
This is a good game haha! On a side note, I think this discussion is giving me the direction I have been needing…thanks
