Had to cut this one short.
My wee girl was going wild and I couldn’t give it my all.
Also feeling a touch under the weather right now.
Was not feeling the CG Bench
Been dropping weight since I started the challenge
Just counting kcals
BW x 12
1g per lb of BW with protein and just filling in the rest

Decided to mix it up
Going to stick to a rigid plan
Push/Pull 4 x a week
Being hopeful here.
This one killed me today. Kept the rest periods tight.
90 seconds
Hurting bad over my dog man. Think it inspired me to push the reps.
I’ve had an outrageously bad three days, diet wise
Have completely fell off the wagon.
Tomorrow is a new day. Going to get the focus back and concentrate exclusively on the process.
Back feels like shit. Sciatic nerve is giving me a bit of jip. I put it down to leg presses.
I’ve never felt comfortable using machines for legs. Have spent my whole training life doing squats however wrist issues which stop me from getting a good grip on the bar.
That sucks that things are flaring it up - sciatica is not fun at all.
If it helps at all on legs, I like doing leg curls and the adductor machine first. It gets everything pumped up and makes the other stuff feel better. If you need more warming up/ fatigue before moving to your other stuff, BSS are helpful.
Leg press hurts my back if I put my butt on the seat. Try coming up just 2”, so your back is on the pad butt gets room to flex and move without hitting the seat.
Hack squats (any machine squat, really) feel
awful unless I do them late in the workout. If I do them pumped, though, I can put my feet low and together and get a lot of knee flexion without hurting. I stay really light. It does not mimic a squat pattern for me - closer to a leg extension really (although I don’t like those).
I think I’ll be limiting my leg machine use to the lying leg curl and leg ext for the time being.
Now and again I’ll have a flare up however this one is lingering a little too long for my liking.
Totally agree on the hack. It feels weird. Almost as if I’m actively trying to snap my shit up ![]()
Did you try to use front squat with your arms crossed? You wrist would no longer be the limiting factor.
I’m not a fan of using the cross arm approach. I can’t get the bar to sit on my shoulders as easily as I can when using my wrists.
I also like to drive my elbows upwards when getting out the hole. It’s a shame because FSQ is one of my best lifts.
This cooked my back. Incinerated it ![]()
Have never ventured into the ‘meadows’ so to speak.
Kicking myself for not doing so.
What do you think @TrainForPain , you’re a fan of meadows?
