Whats up all. I’m 20 years old, and a years back I put on some muscle and in combination with puberty I added 25 pounds in 6 months, which gave me some stretch marks under both shoulders. I haven’t gained any immediate large increases in size since that time, but have made small increases in size each year. The stretch marks under my shoulders are now slowly creeping down my biceps, and now that I am starting Waterbury’s Next Frontier program, I am anticipating some quick muscle growth and I’m afraid these stretch marks will grow.
Any suggestions on how to prevent/slow down /eliminate these stretch marks? Any suggestions for cream/lotions?

Stretch marks come with bodybuilding unless you somehow gained muscle VERY slowly or never gained that much to begin with. Most just accept that as fact instead of believing they will somehow avoid them completely. They usually fade in time anyway. I have them down both biceps and on my shoulders around my pec insertion. I have them on both thighs as well. I would think it is a very small number of people in the world who could gain any appreciable amount of size and never get them.
Along with that, someone growing slow enough to avoid them would probably never make much progress in the long term anyway.
Most of the guys you see in magazines have them as well, especially any competing bodybuilders much over 170lbs.
Are stretch marks those pinkish purplish lines where you can feel a slight indent in your skin?
Am I the only guy who thinks stretch marks look cool? A friend of mine made some big, rapid gains in the gym a few years back and got some big-ass, purplish-red stretch marks on his biceps. I was actually jealous, I thought they looked cool. shrug
It’s all in the elascity of your skin. Which is totally a genetic thing.
If they’re stretching, there’s nothing you can do!
Well, except stop growing (good luck with that)!
It’s like the caluses on your hands that never go away from all the barbell work - they’re marks of pride bro, not things to worry about.
