This was debunked on “Mythbusters”.

Americans on average eat 18 acres of pizza in a lifetime.

Uh, 1 acre = 43560 sq ft.
1 18" pizza = 1.76 sq ft.
18 * 43560 / 1.76 = 445,500 pizzas
Average life span is about 75 years
445,500 / (365 * 75) = over 16 pizzas per day

It could be 1/18th of an acre though, that would be an 18" pizza every 20 days or so.
[/quote]

why are you multiplying by 18?

(43560 ft^2/acre)/(1.77ft^2/pizza)= 24700 pizzas/acre

to eat 24750 pizzas in said 75 years…

24750/(365.25*75) don’t forget leap year

that comes out to .9 large pizzas a day, recommend pepperoni

Calm down, he said he was only stirring.

Hardly anyone here is decended from convicts anyway. Most of our population are immigrants that came over after WW2, or British backpackers who overstayed their Visas in the 70s and 80s and were offered citizenship in an amnesty.

Here’s a factoid not mentioned…

Earth is the only planet not named after a god.

In the english language, this is true.

But ‘Earth’ is the translation of Ge. Ge, or Gaia, was a Greek deity…of sorts.

The point still stands though. ‘Here’ is not the heavens.

That both of your brothers can lick your elbow is not really amazing.

Not true. Sawtooth oaks ,for example, produce acorns in as little as 5 years.

That’s not true at all. There’s an Oak tree in my yard that produces loads of acorns, and it’s nowhere near 50 years old.

EDIT: dang Jetboy, I figured I’d be the first to catch this one.

flight. "

How and why would you compare length v time?

It’s probably a water oak or red oak. I know both of these produce acorns in as little as five years and will produce them every year.

It never said he was comparing v time. He could mean length for both.

Can anyone here go down on themselves?? Pics? Now that would be impressive to see!

i believe their first flight was 120’… and that’s what it’s being compared to.

I’m pretty sure there’s no good way to prove or disprove this.

I’m gonna say not even close to true.

Look above: “Americans on average eat 18 acres of pizza in a lifetime.” Your calculations are based on 1 acre.

Just walk up to the bear and throw him a chunk of meat. If he catches it with his right hand, have a nun hit him with a ruler until he straightens up.

SLICE!!!
