Stonewall's Velocity Diet Lite

Quick update–after 6 weeks, I have lost 20 lbs. I am somewhat tapering off the strict diet form, and consequently, not losing as much weight. However, this is mostly due to the “tapering off” is giving way to bad food decisions, and I know it. It has more to do with volume-of food.

Funny, how you have a day where you eat more and wake up the next morning hungrier. It’s like there is a built in–bad food, or too much of it makes you want to eat more bad food–or at least, eat something. ANYTHING, sooner than you normally would.[/quote]

Hey there, first off congrats on your accomplishment and dedication! Very inspiring. I am starting the V-Diet Lite tomorrow morning and was checking out your experience and others’ in preparation. I have trouble avoiding emotional eating sometimes and cravings… I am addicted to my egg-whites on Healthy Life bread French toast plus oatmeal with zero-cal syrup and a fruit for breakfast, so the shake will be different… we’ll see how it goes!

I don’t have trouble with eating too many calories. I count them everyday regardless (OCD). Maybe the V-Diet Lite will serve a different function for me more along the lines of regaining control over my eating or stopping my sweet tooth and cravings for unhealthy foods. Maybe I will do 3 shakes a day instead of just 2, but not the full-on V-Diet. Either way, GREAT JOB TO YOU Stonewall!

Thanks for the encouragement! I actually haven’t weighed in quite a while. The Holidays were “tough” eating-wise. Thought that I’d put back on a good 8-10 pounds. Pulled out the scale this morning. Actually weighed a pound LESS than when I started! That was weird, because I fully didn’t expect that.

Now, I am no longer on the V-Diet Lite, although I’ve been planning another cycle. But the diet didn’t shock my system and it shocked my psychology. My eating is better and cleaner, but not where it needs to be. I am still not where I want to be with my weight and now, instead of having fallen back, I am still where I was. That’s a good thing of course, but it made me think of where I’d be if only…

But not getting stuck in that mindset. Gotta do, gotta plan, well, I know what to do. That’s why another cycle would be perfect. Shugart, for me, it so spot on with the mental aspect of this thing. When I saw the weight this morning, my first thought was “Dang! I got MORE work to do!” At least I got a base to build on.

Got a cousin who weighs in over 300. Yes, he needs to lose about 50 lbs. He finally took a step of cutting out sweet tea (he’d drink a gallon a day in the summer–outside worker). Its somewhat a moderate change and I hope it yields results. But one thing is for sure, he was watching me to see how I did.

Looking back, I thought the 4 weeks of V-Diet Lite was going to kill me. Now, I think, its only 4 weeks–I CAN DO THAT.
It will give you a kick-start on the control.

Good luck.

Question for everyone…I have read through the diet and looked at this post and would really like to try the V-Lite plan!
I’m assuming this can be used for women? If so, how would you modify it (calories, etc)?
If Metabolic Drive is something I don’t have, is there a “second place” protein you would recommend?
Thanks!
