I believe thart even if the original article try to stay rational, logical and even sound scientific, hard data about the effects of anabolic steroids on a trained population will always be lacking. They also seem to underestimate the effect of all the advances in training and nutrition and supplements. They use Sandow as a reference, sure he was lean, but Google him again and watch. He seriously lacks mass by today’s standard, he has no delt, chest or back development. And its not only the lack of steroid, even I used to carry more mass and never used anabolic, only proper supplementation.
Yeah Sandow was not a large man

I’m not sure I buy this piece just yet. It suggests that supplementation can only take you so far, and you’ll eventually plateau. I just don’t believe that’s correct with everything dialed in w/ Plazma, MAG-10, Indigo, MicroPA, etc etc…
Waiting for Chris’s story on the same subject of Crossfit/roids…
Do you really think that stuff actually does anything major lol
They aren’t anabolics, but they definitely make a difference.
x2 Plazma and hydrolyzed protein products in general make a phenomenal difference to recovery

the test definitely seems to lose its accuracy above 9 percent.
did a 3 site caliper test for a 12.6%, at 210lbs …result now= 25.8.
did a test of a past BF and weight log - 204.5 at 11% = 25.5
and Im still a rookie, less then 2 years lifting and havent spent much time in the caloric surplus due to starting at 300lbs.
Chances are your skin caliper test is way off.
This was my thought as well.

Have you had a hydrostatic test on the same day to gauge if the skin caliper is accurate? Skin calipers are better used for relative bodyfat, not absolute. They can be very accurate, person dependant, but people store fat in different places.

Ya, I’ve never understood the above mentality. Why would fast absorbing carbs & protein not have an effect?
Seems like common sense to me.
